Just dropping by after a long time away to pass on some bar billards map updates. I was staying in the Falcon in Arncliffe (BD23 5QE) at the weekend, and was pleased to see that they've installed a 4-pin table in their guest sitting room. It's a lovely pub - formerly the pub exterior used in 'Emmerdale Farm' back in the day - and still serving beer straight from cask to jug. Well worth a visit for anyone passing through the Dales.
In York, the map needs updating to Show Walmgate Ale House as having a table (beautifully renovated by our in-house table maker and mender, Graham Durant). Also, the Woolpack and the Fulford Arms no longer have tables.
A bit further afield (!) Graham recently renovated a table that has been shipped out to Oslo for a Norwegian enthusiast, who developed a love of the game while visiting the Golden Ball in York, and has installed the table in his apartment.
Think I've already given you Walmgate Ale House to add as a York League venue. Woolpack and Fulford Arms need to come off. Finally, here are details for the new non-league find:
Falcon Inn - Non league - 2 Castle Yard, Arncliffe, Skipton, North Yorks BD23 5QE
Just having a look at this list and a few changes need to be made.... Magdalen Arms no longer has a table Shelley Arms has been knocked down! Jolly Postboys no longer has a table Dolphin, Wallingford - This table is now at Donnington SC Highfield SC doesn't have a table Witney Snooker Club doesn't have a table Newlands Inn - This table is currently for sale on Ebay!
Thanks Champ, copied here for Barbelman action on the map, meanwhile I will update on the thread. tommo

The gate in Walden has removed their table - they are restauranty now. cheers taffy
Three Essex deletions have been been advised by Taffy.
Apart from action on the map, could you rule through them on the relevant thread too please (as I am unable) ?
I've had a kosher email this morning warning me that my google+ pages will be closing down in April.
From what I have read this does not appear to affect google maps.
I'm not exactly with it at the moment with flu (not a cold). so am going back to my pit having checked emails.
Would appreciate someone verifying my findings are correct.
Inventor of the Triangles version of Bar Billiards. Highest England away aggregate 2013 and 2014, 10 - 0 last 10 England singles legs, seventh reserve 2015. Jersey Qtr final 2014, 2015, 2016 - Guernsey Plate Winner 2014, Main Final 2015, 2017. First person to have won both four pin opens.
I’ve had the same email Sav. I signed up to, but never got into using, Google +; as I recall it was their social media app so when they say they are shutting it down I assume it is purely that element of their services and not maps etc
Martin is correct, it's their social media wing only and should not affect other Google applications.
There's plenty of articles covering the announcement (originally made in December), this being the best one that seems to cover the various aspects:
Google is finally closing the social network it set up in an ill-fated attempt to take on Facebook, the company has confirmed. Google+ will be shut down for good on 2 April, with all profiles and pages to be deleted on that day. Google to shut down Google+ after failing to disclose user data leak Read more
The announcement has caused confusion among some Google users; the company made it easy for people to create a Google+ page by accident, leaving many unaware they had joined the social network in the first place. We answer some key questions surrounding the closure. What is being deleted?
Any Google+ pages you created, as well as photos and videos stored in your Google+ album archive.
The deletion does not affect other Google services. Photos and videos stored in Google Photos, for instance, will not be affected. Your Google account, which is linked to services such as Gmail, YouTube and Maps, will continue to work, but your Google+ account, which was only used for the social network, will be deleted. How can I tell if I have a Google+ account?
If you have an account, Google will email you – it may have already done so – telling you that “your personal Google+ account is going away on 2 April 2019”.
If you are still unsure, you can check at plus.google.com. If you log in using your Google account details and still have a button on the left side of the screen that says “Join Google+”, then you are not a member of the social network and nothing will be deleted. Why is Google doing this?
The company’s official explanation is that it decided to shutter the site “due to low usage and challenges involved in maintaining a successful product that meets consumers’ expectations”. Perhaps those “challenges” largely relate to a data leak in the social network that it discovered in March 2018 but did not disclose for six months.
That leak “potentially affected up to 500,000 accounts”, allowing third-party applications to access information marked as private, although Google said it had found “no evidence that any profile data was misused”.
The company had initially planned to shut the social network down in August this year, but in November it discovered another bug that gave apps access to non-public information, and brought forward the shutdown to April. I don’t care about Google+. What do I need to do?
Nothing. If you have a Google+ account but have never used it – which is easy, because for many years Google all but forced users to create an account to access common functions such as the ability to comment on YouTube videos – then you can sit back and let it be deleted in two months’ time.
So we seem to be okay at present for Google Cloud, Google Drive, Google Sheets, Google Maps: about a year ago we lost Google Cloud for a day and there was a world-wide uproar.....it was restored successfully with no data lost so I would not be alone in being up sh!t creek without a paddle were the worst to happen !
