Much to admire there, and I like this quote: "Jelkestables were hand made and were finished to a far higher standard than the modern, mass-produced versions. In addition to being more aesthetically pleasing, their high quality of construction and materials ensures they will last for several lifetimes." They have the date about right, pre-1939 as it has the round legs not the thruppenny bits. Nice restoration job on the wood. Agree with Bernie, well overpriced (double?) - but in the good old US of A, who knows? Scoreboard is worth about £60 in such good condition, £90 if it had been a four-lane instead.

Just realised this could be a scam.
The pictures are not all of the same table.
Note two different back boards, two different leatherette colours and two different clock replacement facia boards.

E-bay allows a rather dangerous disclaimer for the main picture when it says "may be a floor model". (Probably a choice from several similar available when putting up the selling item to begin with.)
Apart from the first picture, which shows a typical unrestored Jelkes with traditional backboard (and mushrooms!) the remaining pictures seem to be definitive and consistent with a restoration job, down to the newer version of the Jelkes backboard.
I don't really sense a scam, just something that is overpriced considering that the 'refurbishment' is purely cosmetic and does not include something as vital as a timing mechanism. ::)

;D In a bored moment today I emailed the seller and asked him why the photos were different and got two emails back....
First came; "Man - I was hoping it wasn't that noticable. All but one pic are of my table. The other table pic, the one with the yellow fabric behind the table, is one I borrowed because the one full-shot I snapped of mine is blurry, and I got busy with holiday stuff. I suppose I need to get down to the basement and snap another. Will try and do that today, if I can get away from my visiting parents (who are driving me nuts - nine days is too long!)."
and then fifteen minutes later; "I snapped more pics, and revised the listing. Thank you for sharing your observations :-)"
So he has a sense a sense of humour and SOUNDS kosher - so who's gonna buy it then? ;D ;)
cheers Tony

He does indeed have a sense of humour: Further revisions to the wording claim a table value of $7000 and scoreboard value of $1000, so he's actually offering everything at half price! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
