Margo and tommo safely home after a superlative day of "Thirty-ones" at the Railway - with 14 participants. Great to meet up with past teammates again, including Bill Phillips, John Martin, John Harvey who have long before hung up their cues.
For the record, five 'kitties' were won in a session which lasted as many hours: Bogmeister made the most impressive winning shot, a red glanced into the the 100 from the side cushion, Clacky, Sniffer, John Harvey and Scott Hope being the others.
Excellent curries served up, prepared by Nigel. Rather regretting choosing the Phall over the Veggie. You're an evil man, Nigel. ;D
Looking forward to a year's time for more of the same. 8-)

You can 'josh', Mister 5-cues, but I can best describe it as 'molten lava'. My tongue was on fire ! ::)
Two days earlier we had attended a curry-and-quiz night at our local (the Mill House) and I had a nice medium-hot Makhani which was just about right for me........ 8-)

Ah the memories of Phalls.... Many, many years ago (Iang will remember) we use to go out on average 5 times a week and would end up at a curry house in Haywards Heath, being a curry novice I started on Bhuna but as time went on progressed through Madras & Vindaloo until I found Phall, that was it, it is one of those curries where if you eat it fast its lovely, eat it slow (or drink water) and its an experience to be believed.
If my momory serves me right we were downing 5 Phalls a week at one stage :o
