I am making this posting in advance of the event so that those who are interested may do something to ensure continuity for Sussex Bar Billiards. I will be standing again for the post of Secretary to the SCBBA and if succesfully voted in for another year - the tenth - this would be my last year and I would no longer be available to the committee after the AGM in August 2007.
I am very willing to help any interested parties get to know the job during the season 2006-7, so don't be shy
your County needs you!!

As per Alan above, I am approaching a 10 year stint in office as Competitions Secretary, and am likewise giving 12 months notice that I shall be stepping down from that position.
If there are any prospective candidates reading this, please get in touch with me, I'll be happy to explain what's involved in the role. And of course, the 2006/07 season would be a perfect time for my successor to get the hang of it, in tandem with myself, before I ride off into the sunset.
P.S. it's not too difficult, really....

A reminder to interested parties that any proposals for rule changes, or other motions for the S.C.B.B.A., must be submitted in writing to County Sec. Alan Messer by Monday 7th August, or they will be ineligible to be put to the AGM.
So, whether you want to dissolve the Association and split it into two, or do something a little less far-reaching, you need to contact Alan by Monday.

Q,
I recall that you and Charlady were planning to propose something ? As it coincided with what I had in mind I've just left it.
We have until the 7th: the words "In Gear" and "Get yer ar$e$" spring to mind. ;)
