The plough welcome a mid season transfer from the Courthouse
Riza Rizai has joined the ranks of the plough and plays his first game in anger against his old team this Wednesday.
Another refreshing and sensible solution from the Hastings League.

Hi mikedaw1985 not many matches left for you to overtake me, you should take some holidays on wednesdays to get some practice in, luckily for me i've been drawn with the break 12 out of 14 times this year so iv'e had plenty of chances. ::) PS perhaps drawn matches are not the fairest way...been here before! ::) regs cs

Its always been the way in Hastings. We're used to it and at the end of the day its pot luck who you play and whether you get the break. Bob now has the high break. I'm just wondering which away tops I'm going to play on that may allow for a 11k+ break.

Hi Hastings BB fans
no match for the plough tonight, tried to arrange a match with the fountain but got no rseponse so we arranged a practice night with handycaps to make the matches a bit fairer, each player starts with the others handycap score eg in game 1 peter started with 500 and heather started with 2500
Peter Payne (hcp2500) 2880 v 3510 Heather Akehurst(hcp500) Reza Rezai (hcp3500) 2850 v 5420 Fred Pope (hcp1200) Alec Pope (hcp1500) 1090 v 2380 Martin Cook (hcap1200) Colin Southouse (hcp8000) 10,130 v 10,760 Stewart Chant (hcp2220) Peter Payne (hcp 2500) 4340 v 3990 Fred Pope (hcp1200)
levelled the table up again. The timer was shot to £$%^, another hot curry and sausage and potato surprise form Martin to keep us in the mood luverly ::)
peter was obviously a lumberjack in a previous existance ;D
a great fun filled evening had by all, even tried to get amelia on the table ::) but to no avail

Hi Hastings BB Fans Hastings league results for The Plough V Ashburnham B played at the Plough 25/01/12Fred Pope 1210 v 2140 Mick Osborne Heather Akehurst 980 v 2550 Ron Young Stewart Chant 3090 v 2720 Roy Harmer Colin Southouse 13,430 v 580 Sandy Harmer Chris Haynes 300 v 5120 Chris sexton Colins Home break 10,900 Result Ash B win 3-2Stewart and Roy had a nice match before, during and after their game :o, Stewart won on the last ball (red) in the 100 ( i thought this happened last week... must be psychic) which gave the home team some well earned encouragement Had to level the table up again just before the match. Table was a bit tricky at the start but seemed to settle down just as i started to play ::) PS Sandy is a great spectator :-* The decider was all too and fro but each player continued to get the break back and score steadily, but with about 4 Min's to go and the scores about level Chris Haynes contrived an excellent way to demolish the black peg followed by Chris Sexton making and losing 1.5k. Overall a great match with our friends from the Ash B, plenty of banter and food, with Amelia keeping our gander up ;) Well I've always been a good spectator! Got used to it in interleague ;D All I can say from our game is that it is true that your bum does look big in them jeans ;D Thanks for another great evening!

Hi Hastings BB Fans
result card for hastings league match Ashburnham A v The Plough played at the Ashburnham
Heather Akehurst 300 v 9210 Dave White Riza Rizai 2840 v 3370 Mick Caister Fred Pope 2740 v 4390 Phil Osborne Stewart Chant 2890 v 1030 Bob Osborne Colin Southouse 3480 v 3440 Vic Hibben
the ashburnham A won 3-2
The big guns averages took a tumble due to a rather awkward top tonight only Dave Smith coped with a roll to the right, which was sorted out by ozzie senior with a strategic placement of a beer mat(after the match) ::). could have easily been 4-1 with Vic Hibben playing steadily throughout the final game only losing on my 3rd attempt at the 100 to win.
Always fun with the Ash a boys

Hi Plough Bb fans Current Plough averages with only a couple of games still to go, looking at a mid table finish, not bad for our first season and with table and player improvements we might scare the ash and couthouse teams a bit next season regs cs Attachments:

Hi Hastings BB fans
Hastings league result card the Plough v Nags Head A
Colin Southouse 3850 v 1520 Sean Croft* Heather Akehurst* 570 v 1710 Badger Rez 2790 v 1620 Crabbers* Stewart Chant 1730* v 2540 Steve McGill Jason Akehurst 1850 v 1950 Tom Leitch*
Result Nags Head A Win 3-2
Well Done to The nags head, winning the decider on the last ball, Think Jason was suffering from too much lager being his 21 st Birthday today, had a Happy Birthday song and a kiss from his mum, think he might have preferred one from Amelia, who was wearing a perfect fitting dress tonight.
Jalfresi curry and lasagne from Martin tonight, unbeatable

Hi Hastings BB Fans
results card for hastings league match Courthouse A v The Plough 14/03/2012 Dave Stapley 1130 v 2660 Stewart Chant Walk Over 0 v Rez Lewis Wond 1280 v 2700 Fred Pope John Wond 2930 v 7190 Colin Southouse Andy Mcfarlane 1960 v 750 Martin Cook result the Plough won 4-1 Breaks Colin Southouse 6570 John Wond 2320 Fred Pope 2160
The natives were a bit fiesty tonight, but things calmed down to a relatively nice evening, well done to fred who looked dead and buried with just a few minutes to go and managed agame winning play out with 2160. Dont know if the A team will be about next season, but hope they can sort out their internal wranglings over the summer.
This was the last league match of the season which is a real pity, looks like we may have a friendy against the greyhound home and away
