Dun Horse 1 Limeburners Cricketers 4
Dave Simmons 3830 Bill Hammond 1970 Scott Hope 2650 Max Davies 3350 Stuart Hope 1830 Chip Sawyer 4690 Colin Bolton 1690 Dick Dewdney 4920 Grant Hope 910 Brian Goodchild 2090
First Game Played second. Bill started well until a ball whipped out of the 100 and took a peg out. Dave racked up a steady 2k. The game went a bit boggy from there with both players making hard work of it.
Second game played first. (Scott had to rush off as it’s his Wife’s birthday! ;D There’s commitment for you. ;)) Max started well, Scott struggled to start. A close game, Scott unlucky to lose a crucial break towards the end when a bizarrely mis-hit one-up took a peg out. ???
Chip started well, Stuart didn’t really get into the game.
Dick broke with 2k+, like Stuart, Colin struggled to get much going allowing Dick to make another couple of 1k breaks.
The last game was a really scrappy affair, Brian broke off with about 1k. It went downhill from there. At one stage there were 5 balls lined up down the middle of the table! I think Grant would rather forget that one.
Not a favourable result for The Dun tonight. :'( That will shake up the League table even more. A good night with The Limeburners team with plenty of chat.

Alfold SC 2 Three Bees 3
R Burgess 6820 N Tomsett 4120
A fairly even affair with both Rob and Nigel racking up decent breaks. Rob secured the win with a 2.7K break as the bar dropped.
T Goacher 580 R Child 3200
Both players started slowly, Trevor was in self destruct mode, finding the peg with every opportunity ::) Ron plodded on comfortably to secure the win.
D Slater 1620 M Lennon 3555
Scrappy start by both players but a Mick dug in to grind out a 1K break. Dave hit back with a decent score only to leave the one up short letting Mick back in with another 1K to seal victory.
G Fishburn 6280 S Eely 1650
Steve broke well put points on the board, but left balls up. Gaz was in decent form and racked up 1K followed by 3.7K on next visit, game then evened out, but Gaz had done enough to take the game.
M Greening 2590 L Lennon 2810
Closest game of the night with Lyn taking a slight advantage. Major came in with a late 1K with 3 balls left, only to find the white peg :-[ giving the game to Lyn.
A fair result at the end of the day, though it so easily could of gone the other way. Pleasant evening lots of nice chat, great food courtesy of Rob.

Before the scores, lets just say the Railway pub & boys is argueably the best away night in the league...? Always a great laugh with good friendly banter, great billiards (not by us!) and quality food. For this, we thank you again for a top night!
