Tommo did Peter say anything about Micky, Dick or Rick Langridge. Well, Peter hadn't seen them to discuss it at the time, but Dick is a 'possible' and Rick 'extremely doubtful'. As regards Micky, he said he was going to play last year and then at the last minute didn't, so better I think to approach him direct.

Wow! I knew it was bad last year but this is silly!
Next year, perhaps drop down to 8 instead or combine with finals night and do a finals day? Either that or combine the masters with the mens singles in the comps?

My thanks go to all participants for staying on to provide a good day with all the usual barracking you would expect.

Many thanks to Ian Giffen for coming in at 8.30am to help me prepare the tables which is pretty much all I did, however he did all the real work, both before and on the day to make this such a good event, it wouldn't have happened without him, as he created the list, chased the competitors, did the sheets and score cards, and generally ran the whole thing which ran like clockwork too....well done & thanks to Ian.
Oh yes and it seemed that there was a 'rare' partial collapse of the front left leg when Ricky pulled the handle (well I haven't heard or seen that happen before). I originally thought it was because of loose screws holding the metal 'male' thread/plate onto the wooden foot but had a quick look after the event and now think it was actually the 'Female' metal housing in the leg itself that was loose and chose that moment to push further up into the leg...............and ruined the game for Ricky who had played superbly up to that moment.

Yes I would like to thank Ian And Sparky for oragaising a well run event, plenty of good banter around the room and some good billiards too!
Ian just a point on the high break I think that Ricky must have it as in the first leg he opened with 15k and I played the remaining timeout? In both games we had 1 visit each to the table! ;) 2nd round. Rick Dewdney 27150 Jim Greensted 4640
High Break Mick Fairs 14130 High Score Mick Fairs 15170
