Please note we have changed the times of Paul Sainsbury v Dan wollvin to 12.46, swapped with Phil Collins v Ian Gordon to 10.30 - I forgot Paul comes down from Kent even though he is Berkshire.

A good day for the Oxford players at Reading yesterday, congratulations to Phil Collins who beat Keith Sheard in the Final of the main competition after both had overcome the Sussex Challenge of Ian Lelliott and Nigel Senior in the semi-finals.
A very high quality field in the Plate as well, with Steven Sheard showing dad how to win by beating Chris Reeves in the Final after Steven had beaten Dave Tooke and Chris had beaten Colleen Park in the semi's.
Keith did at least have the consolation of the highest break with the only 20k break on the day, with Sandra Race taking the honours for the Ladies with both the Highest Break (4k+ in a very close game with Mark Brewster) and furthest Lady. ;)
Many thanks to Dave Alder and his willing team of helpers up on the stage..... and great news that the AEBBA have now completed the purchase of the tables. ;D

Well done to Dave and the other organisers, a very well run day. Congratulations to Phil and Steven. The Plate competition had some high ranking players competing. Also well done to Keith on his 20k break (but next time try not to do it against me). :)
