Quote from a blog I found: mikelapointe.blogspot.com/2007/02/ryan-smyth-was-traded.html Tonight is games night with the guys. The one night a week to get out and have fun for a few hours. My friend has a bar billiards table and we'll likely play while watching the hockey game in his basement. Bar billiards is a really a fun concept from southern England. You shoot from one end of table a little bigger than a pinball machine. There are nine pockets in the table worth between 10 and 200 points, and three skittles that block big point pockets and cause you to lose some or all of your points if you knock down the skittles. Taste the Rainbow is a favourite saying for that! Anyhow, games alternate turns with up to 8 balls on the table for about 15 minutes, until the timer runs out. Too bad there aren't more of these around, it's a lot of fun.So thats where one of the US tables went. ;D

Good find, Q. We now know of the Brooklyn one, the Texas one, someone from Florida keeps enquiring about one on eBay, and now this guy's blog. Any idea where he's based ? [edit] He mentions Edmonton (Alberta) so it's likely he's Canadian. NB. Evidence of an export of a Jelkes table to the same place here: webdocs.cs.ualberta.ca/~holte/House/barbilliards.html
