It seems that Leicestershire had a ten-year presence (1983 - 1993) as a participating county at National level, as AEBBA minutes from the early 1980's suggest: More archive on Leicestershire performing nationally ........ AEBBA records now show that in 1992 Leics performed in Div 2 of the County Championships (having won Div 3 the previous year) with the following team: P.Chadwick, R.Day, P.Lewin, A.Black, E.Briggs, G.Smith and D.Stribling. In the same year, Somerset won Div.3 from Wiltshire and South Yorks (full details available on the AEBBA website).

This Non-League 4-Pin one is near where 3 counties (Derbys, Leics and Staffs) converge but despite its postcode being Swadlincote is nearer to Ashby-de-la-Zouch and is actually in Leicestershire: www.theoldcrownsnarestone.co.uk/OLD CROWN INN, BOSWORTH ROAD, SNARESTONE, LEICS DE12 7DQ
