Beermatt Brewers 2 United Services Club 3
Nigel Bransby 1,830 - 6,240* Bill Kerr A steady 3k opener from Bill put him in control and retain his 100% record, Nigel battled hard but couldn't close the gap in the game.... but played the shot of the night to pot the last red in the 200 hole while blindfolded! :o 8-) 0-1
Richard Spurrier 11,920* - 1,340 Dave Ingram A terrific opening break of 11,160 from Spud gave me no chance in the game, a new personal best for him and very well played. 8-) 8-) 1-1
Paul Moyes-Robb 5,530 - 4,720* Henry Brooks Henry lost his opening 3.5k break and Paul took a useful lead, H had a couple of chances but ran out of time in the end. :'(
2-1 down at this stage and reports from the Bridge to say they were 2.5 to 0.5 up...... only 0.5 points in it overall.... :o
Lynne Moyes-Robb 320 - 7,190* Tony Jenner Lynne off very early and although Tony took a while to get going he settled down to take a valuable point for us. ;D
2-2 here...... and the Bridge 3.5 to 0.5 up...... still just 0.5 between the two teams...... :-/
Peter Shaw 1,280 - 3,310* Gina Sherratt A steady 1k plus start from Gina and she always managed to keep out of reach to secure the title for us! ;D ;D ;D ;D
Many thanks to the Beermatt's for another great evening..... a really tough battle played in a terrific spirit by both sides with some really good games. 8-)
A big thank you to all of our team this season, brilliant effort by everybody and a pleasure to be a part of the team....... commiserations to the Bridge who won 3.5 to 1.5 on the night to finish as runners-up this year...... we look forward to seeing everybody again next season. ;D

A good win for the Bridge last night winning 3.5 to 1.5 over the Black Horse to secure runners up but not quite enough to overhaul the United Services team.
Jean knocked in a last ball 200 to earn a draw with Dave Todd, then wins for Nigel,Kev and Marc gave us a glimmer of hope with the news of Spud and Paul playing superb games to keep our hopes alive.
Final games and Dave Knight was always in front of Alan to scupper our hopes and news of Gina's win secured the title for USC .
Congratulations to USC , another great season taken to the wire , cant wait for next season and looking forward to another challenge.
Lastly well done to Spud on a new top score and to the Cock for a 4 1 win over the Droops.
