2-1 to the Hurst at this stage, with the Mill players unable to cope with the fast, downhill tables, but the Mill's break and the even break to come...........

Well done to the Hurst 'A', worthy Champions.

There were some great performances on the night, and firstly congratulations to Derek Taylor on his first Mens Singles triumph, beating teammate Dilly Williamson in a close contest. The Open Doubles final was a cracker, with Richard Jeffrey virtually playing the first leg out completely with a break of 10,700. Rob Hall and Henry Brooks hit back in leg 2, with Andy Farmer-Wright managing a good break but not quite enough to clinch matters. It was always on the cards that Henry would have a say, and he did in the decider, with a superb 10k break of his own. The Masters final brought together two in-form players, Henry Brooks and Peter Edwards who had earlier scored a fine 7780 in the Team Cup final which had been pivotal. And it was Pete who made the running in each leg with Henry just unable to catch the target set. So who else did the evening belong to ? Who took home a clutch of trophies on the night ?Well, the silverware was shared around fairly, with all of the following being able to lay claim to having a truly successful season: - Lorraine Hall - won her 9th Ladies Singles title, completing a 'treble' of Mid-Sussex, Horsham and Worthing this year. Also presented with Ladies Highest Score.
- Doug Mahy - Mixed Doubles winner with wife Denise; Senior Singles winner; Premier Player of the Year runner-up.
- Henry Brooks - Player of the Year, Open Doubles Winner, Mens Highest Break, Masters Runner-up, Highest Break (Masters).
- Richard Jeffrey - Open Doubles R-u; 1st Div Singles R-u; Div 1 Player of Year R-u.
- Pete Edwards - Masters Winner (defeating Henry!); Mixed Doubles runner-up (with Ros Appleby)
- Dilly Williamson - Mens Singles (runner-up to teammate Derek Taylor); 1st Div.Singles winner.
- Rob Hall - Open Doubles Winner; Masters Semi-finalist.
- Adam Bateup - not present on the night, but winner of Div 1.Player of the Year; 1st Division Masters; and Div.1 Highest Score and Highest Break.
SCBBA representatives Jean Brackenridge and Sandra Race were in attendance, and presented the League with the Div.2 Cup and medals, congratulating Mid Sussex on a record-breaking Interleague season in which they had won all ten matches, Don't forget folks, AGM in two weeks' time.
