Useless Shot Choice 3 Laughing Fish 3
Graham Sparksman 1,820* - 2,140 Ray Carpenter Sparky made a good start with an opening break of just over 1k but Ray fought back well and showed a very good range of cross-table shots to take the lead which he just maintained til the end. 0-1
Tony Jenner 580 - 9,640* Henry Brooks The scoreline doesn't really give a totally fair reflection about this game, which was still in the balance 12 minutes into the game. H pegged his first one up, TJ got the break back but came off at 760. H ran in a well built break of 4,380 but TJ hit back and was unfortunate to take out a black peg while on a break of just under 3k, H then took control with a couple of good breaks to finish strongly. 0-2
Bill Kerr 4,460* - 650 Andy Brooks A very steady game from Bill with a couple of useful breaks to keep Andy off the table. 1-2
Dave Ingram 11,680 - 450* Jim Ashford Jim spun the white ball out with his opening break shot and was off shortly after, I didn't get the break back for a few visits but then ran in a slow 4.7k followed by a closing break of 6,910 to level the match. 2-2
Tony & Bill 9,710* - 810 Les Whiteman & Ray A lovely opening break of 5,710 by TJ followed up by just under 3k from Bill gave Les and Ray no chance and put us into the lead. 3-2
Dave & Graham 1,340 - 6,250* Henry & Jim Henry was unfortunate to lose his opening 4.5k break when he missed a ball behind the 10 hole, I managed to clear the balls but broke down on 1.2k after which the balls stayed tricky for several visits each before Henry got them back and ran in a new away best break of 5,490 to seal the draw. 3-3
Many thanks to our visitors for an excellent evening in very good company, plenty of banter among some good games leading to a deserved draw for both teams. 8-)
Highest Home Breaks - Dave Ingram (6,910) in singles and Tony Jenner (5,710) in doubles Highest Away Breaks - Henry Brooks (5,490) in doubles and 4,380 in singles.

Just had them in by wednesday every week so far, and so have made a habit of doing the tables/stats on a wednesday afternoon. Guess it just didn't work out that way this week.
