Bar Billiards had it's first victim of the recent riots when the Royal Oak Burford tried to get to the Viking Sports Club in Oxford for a Witney Summer league game last Tuesday. They were 'advised' by the police not to proceed to the club as youths were gathering at Headington crossroads and it was too risky to try and get through! The worst that happened in the end, was that the mob tried to set fire to MacDonalds which IMHO is not such a bad thing.... ::) The Oak rang their opposition and cancelled the game - don't these hoodies realise how difficult it is to rearrange games? ;D
cheers Tony
