Dave Nicholls kindly agreed to bring our match forward to Tuesday night as I have an annual darts match in memory of a late friend scheduled for Thursday.
As a thank-you I managed to beat Dave 2-0.

Wins tonight for Nigel beating BB Warrior 2-0 at the Marine View, including a 16,800 bk :o Lolly beat Chocie 2-1 on a tricky New Sussex top.
At the Swan, I beat Tupps 2-1. 1st game saw us both with a couple of chances, Tupps taking it. 2nd game saw Tupps break down early and i came back with 9k. Decider - Tupps opened with 7,200, I played the bar out for 7,700. Great match
Foxy played Ricky after and totally dominated the match, opening with 11k in the first. Ricky could only manage a couple of smallish breaks in the next and Jim made another 11k to seal the win.

Wins tonight for Nigel beating BB Warrior 2-0 at the Marine View, including a 16,800 bk :o Nigel's break was actually 18,600.... in just under 16 minutes, running the table out apart from the last ball.... the table had run around 19 minutes in the first game (which he won 5.7k to 4.7k partly thanks to a very lucky 100 shot near the end) but I think he has learned the art of the "short bar" pull on the handle.... ::) Superb break to watch, best of luck to Nigel in the rest of the competition.... 8-)

Strangely me and Dave both missed our opening goes at the break in game 1 - me missing both balls! Sounded like a cracking game between Tupp and KT

.. I think he has learned the art of the "short bar" pull on the handle.... ::) Yes that table is very 'adjustable' we had the bar drop at 14.5 mins a few months back where someone released the bar back ultra slowly :-/ Don't beat yourself up nige, I think 18k is a big enough a record on there, jheez.

A & B.Squires 1 - 2 C.Cox & P.Brown
1st game approx 200-6k* 2nd game approx *10k-2k 3rd game approx *2k-5k
Break very difficult to get back with quite a few interesting balls left...Kev, run of the ball very much against us tonight to make up for interleague Sunday ;), but the New Sussex table was good as always on the break.
Well played to Chris and Pete.

Martin Smith/ Geoff Jukes 1 Lolly / Foxy 2
Good match on the Tarring club top
Geoff opened with 8.5k in the first and that was good enough 1-0
I won the second leg opening with 11k 1-1
Martin broke in the third with 4.5k Chris then replied with 5.5k Geoff got the balls back but surprisingly came off after missing the split! I got the balls back only to miss cue the break shot. Martin needed 700 to tie and made a valiant attempt but took the black pin on the last shot!

Think it should show C.Cox and Pete Brown through not Adam and Barry.

I beat Dave Jones 2-0 last night in the coldest venue I have ever played at! The club had only just reopened after a Christmas break and the heating was not on in the Bar Billiards room. :o
First game was very tight, but Dave left me 2 balls on the table with the scores exactly even and I was able to put them both down.
Dave had no luck at all in the second.
Thanks to Trevor for scoring.

Barney and I beat Dave and Colin 2 - 0 last night. Despite losing almost as many as we kept, we just managed to keep enough to win both games.
