Armed with Ian's weekly report, I can now fill in the missing details for the week:
Roffey Club Y 4, Holbrook Club 1 Rofffey Club Y win 4-1 but remain tied on 24 points for 3rd place. John Miller got the ball rolling winning the first, & Nigel Evans gained Holbrook’s sole point in the 2nd. Peter Gibbs held off Vic Razzell. A trade mark 6.5 from Mick Fairs sealed the match with Dick Cable taking the last for 4 points.
Southwater SC 1, Limeburners 4 Limeburners pulled further ahead in Division one with a good home win over the Southwater SC. The first 2 legs were all one way traffic as Melvin Blake & Tony Franks played well to put the burners in a good position. R. Mayhem stuck it out in leg 3 & just won the game but this was short lived as an on fire Tony Temple banged in 10500 for the win. Steve Holden’s last ball win gained the bonus point.
Windmill B 2, Windmill A 3 Windmill A lifted themselves off the bottom with their first win of the season against their B side. Mark Gasson had a welcome win over Gary Cresswell, but a dependable Steve Eely levelled it. Alec Gasson had his first win of the season to put the A team ahead while a timely 3K for Dave Lennon made it 2 all. A great place in the draw for the experienced Rob David for the match.
