Headington Cons V Gladiator Club 'B'
1. Graham ( no eeeee ) Mildenhall 1400 lost to Phil ( Nobby ) Clark 1650 :) Both Graham and Phil struggled on a very tricky table.
2. Dave ( A380 ) Gordon 810 lost to Dick ( cats love marmite ) Stowe 2500 :) Slowed my game down and played well on a tricky table to win this, and top score for our team.
3. Keith ( Reg ) Hollis 1520 beat Grant Johnson 1120 :( Grant just could not master the table, but both players struggled.
4. Sid Ponting 3880 beat Neil Cunliffe 610 :( Sid's break did it for him as both players failed at the top end of the table.
5. Tim Jeffreys 1530 lost to Reg ( Hello sailor ) Johnson 2010 :) Best game of the night this, Reg 600 plus ahead with all the balls on the table Tim played a damn good endgame to get very close, only for Reg to pot the last ball.
Cons 2 Glads 3
A great evening with some great mates and even better banter.
Food brilliant rolls and stew with about six bottles of wine in it.

Andy lost a small break at the end which cost him the game.With Chris & Ernie both winning it could have been 3-0......Martyn was 4990 in front with about 5 mins remaining then Alan who was struggling managed to get the break back and replied with a winning break.With the match at 2-2 Lewis played very well to win the match for lucky Vikings.
That's the cup for you.
