Mill House, only a point behind the leaders up till tonight, came crashing down to earth with a bump, the Y's turning in a performance worthy of the Champions.
Roffey Club Y 4, Mill House 1
Peter Gibbs 11,480 Margo 300 - no quarter given by Peter in devastating form. Lee Cable 4250, tommo 2540 - tommo not settling and at one stage all 8 balls on table, which Moose did well to clear, eventually overtaking to run out the winner. Mick Fairs 6710, Johnny Haigh 2420 - almost identical game, with Micky eventually breaking clear from his shackles. John Miller 4800, Victoria Timson 2550 - John always in control, but vicky having a good break towards the end. Dick Cable 1450, BB Warrior 12,930 - The Mill's million pound signing celebrating his England callup with an opening break of 9k followed by one of 3k+.
Well done to the Y's and thanks for a very sociable evening and a good selection of sarnies. 8-)

Was just adding more info as I had the result, nothing yet from Holbrook club. If your not playing tonight you could always come to Plumpton Green & watch our match. I'm expecting a certain Warrior to be present. ;D

Reports on the other three matches played, courtesy of Ian:
Holbrook Club 1, Windmill B 4 A good win for Windmill B keep them in touch with The Limeburners. A nail biting first leg between Brett Kennedy & Drew Richardson was the first of a few games that could have gone in either direction but it was Drew for The Windmill who won. Barry Dumbrill back again played a solid match putting his side ahead. A brilliant game from Dave Lennon made the best score of the night on 9300 & secured the victory. Nigel Evans was Holbrook’s only winner against a previously unbeaten Steve Eely. Another close game in the last went to Mike Lennon.
Stout House A 3, Southwater SC 2 Stout House A made up for last week by holding off Southwater SC but remain in 6 place. First up Gordon Ling for Southwater to go 1 up. A win for John Tidy over Jeff Raine made it 1 apiece. Tom Darkins got on well with the table upsetting Gordon Carver with an 8K score. Dave Howlett had to use his skills against a strong performance from Ollie Wilkins & made it 2 all, but as Keith Newman had the walk over Stout House took the Win.
Windmill A 3, Plough A 2 Windmill A defended well against The Plough, Andy Crofton took the first in what was a crucial leg against Keith Potter. Plough’s Dave Vizor levelled it in the 2nd & a win for Geoff Parsons put Plough in front. Rob David saw off Mark Webber to bring the decider in. With Windmill’s Joan Davies holding on for the match.
