Bletchington 3 Lamb & Flag 3 Pete Soanes 3040 - 8510 Steve Walker Andy Skinner 1320 - 2910 Martin Friend Geoff Powell 5040 - 0 Tony Willis Pete Soanes 8380 - 4980 Steve Walker Andy Skinner 6980 - 770 Martin Friend Geoff Powell 1400 - 10900 Tony Willis
Steve played well in the first, followed by a dour struggle between Andy and Turbo in the second with Turb just prevailing to put the Flag 2-0 up. Tony was chasing in the third and needed the 200 on the last ball to draw but blacked it to give Sir Geoffrey the game! Third game was a cracker with Steve breaking down at about 5K and Pete replying with an excellent 8380 break to level the match score. Andy took the next with a good game and Tony managed to concentrate enough in the last to score 2 x 5K+ breaks and level the score at 3-3. The proper result between two closely matched teams.... cheers Tony
