Echoes of the A's experience of last week: South Park CC A 2 MVC B 3 Andy Finn 1140 - Gary Powell 10080 Bigjimsilverfox 2900 - Carl Tidy 6590 D C 4940 - Tony Cross 8420 Vern Sparkes 12720 - Bud Abbott 50 Laurie Roberts 8970 - Frank Doyle 1370 A bit of a shock to find the club table at 90 degrees to it`s usual position :o :o After putting it back to the normal position a quick adjustment was needed as it had a dramtic left hand roll. Andy, DC and Myself all caught out by the table settling in! Interesting evening. Not sure if the biggest shock was find the table moved or a Crstal Palace defender scoring a 6 minute hatrick :o ;D The table seemed somehow 'different' (pulling to the middle from each side) but, hey ! it still hasn't become a bad table overnight as these scores show: SPCC B 2, Limes A 3
tommo 2760, Pete Nicholls 7190 Paul Trottman 930, David Jones 10,210 Mama Hall 890, Alan Nicholls 6880 Mr Reaper 11,470, Shuana Nicholls 290 (incl.break of exactly 10k) Dave Snashfold 10,890, PinkLady 890The three Limes lads really went for it in the first three games and were well worth the match win. A good rearguard action staged by South Park B in the last two games, reflecting the As' last week performance shown above !

What with no Shaz (she fell down the stairs the other week and injured her collarbone & shoulder :-X) and no Santa (claimed he`d been babysitting all day and hadn`t had any sleep - works nights :-/) we had to call on our 1st and 2nd reserves, Nick & Mick. ::) And what great entertainment they gave.
Nick just couldn`t keep any score, bar one, but showed he could play the game by calmly sinking the last ball into the 200 pocket. ;D
Mick had the break in game 3. (Luckily for me Budgie didn`t accept my £5 bet that Mick wouldn`t pot a ball off the break ;D )With the home team supporting Mick and the away team supporting Ted, the lead changed many times. Mick should`ve won but he knocked the black peg over when he had 260 on the board. ::)
Salfords Club 2 Old Oak A 3
Colin 1510 Richard 9830 Ian 5790 Nick 230 Ted 590 Mick 580 Gary 1230 Graham 5320 # Ian 3300 Martin 5460
# 4 player rule
A very enjoyable evening with the Salfords guys, plenty of banter and some wonderful dark mild ;D ;D 8-)
