Just to let everyone know that Neil lost his battle against cancer on Friday, 15th February. Neil played for the Redhill league for many years. He had served on committee, holding the posts of treasurer and competition secretary. He was a thoroughly nice bloke, sadly missed. I will post the funeral details when I find out what they are.

Very, news. Neil will be remembered as a thoroughly nice chap who never had a bad word to say about anyone. I remember he played a couple of seasons in Mid Sussex, in SilverFox's team and was magnanimous in victory or defeat. In the Redhill League, he kept a team of inexperienced players going at the Horley Cricket Club for several years - though a top player himself. We are playing the Flying Scud tonight and I'll pass the news on to his former teammates, though I expect the news has filtered through already.

I was to hear the news about Neil, he was a great guy and another of the unsung people who put more back into bar billiards than they take for themselves, he will be sorley missed.
