Hi guys,
Like I said, welcome to your new board.
I have now set Tommo up as a mod and he becomes our newest staff member here. He will be in charge of this board, and has all the powers he needs in here to please respect and rules or guidlines that he wishes to lay down.
Anything else you need, please get in touch.
Take care everyone, and have fun

How come the Northants board doesn't have a Northants Mod ??? We tried to find someone from Northants sensible enough to be a mod - and failed ;D ;D

Anyway, Colemanator, I thought you were an old Rocker ?
At least - though not as 'sensible' as Sav would have you believe - I'm entitled to be a Mod, 'cos I used to be one. ;D

A later incarnation, Ian.
When the first 'Mod' era came to an end, the choice was between becoming a 'skinhead' or a hippie: I chose the latter.
In those days Led Zeppelin came under the category of 'underground music' , favoured by hippies.

I'm far too sensible to be a Mod but 'Tommo the Mod' has that sort of 'Attila the Hun' ring to it ;D

I was a mod when it made a comeback in the late 70's early eighties. I was only a little boy then though.......................yes even smaller than I am now!! I used to look rather fetching in my Harrington, Loafers, Fred Perry and my burgundy sta press trousers!! :o ;D

You're obviously not that fussy, one only has to look at the Cambridge board :-/ ;) Well it is a flop because people can't be bothered in Cambridgeshire, I beleive it is the wrong attitude but it is one sided. Plus I am sensible :)

I used to look rather fetching in my Harrington, Loafers, Fred Perry and my burgundy sta press trousers!! :o ;D Funny how things stick in the memory for ever............. When I was a mod, back in the late 60s, young people actually had a place to go and meet. Ours was the Coffee House in Horsham, a long room with a bay window, and a concrete plot outside where we would park our array of scooters. Inside you could chill out over a cup of coffee or a glass of coke and listen to Soul or Tamla Motown music - or of course The Who and Jimi Hendrix. On this particular occasion, a local hardnut called Brian Sumner arrived and swaggered up to the bar wearing all new gear - hipsters, a shiny short leather jacket, expensive shoes and a brand new haircut. He looked the epitome of cool. A couple of the girls let out gasps and the whole place went quiet, you could hear a pin drop. And then ...... he said in a high-pitched voice "can I have a glass of milk please ?" - and the whole place collapsed in uproar.

Thank you Josie, I am currently undergoing a stringent "grooming" process. ;D ;D ;D
The great thing is that we now have our own Board for Surrey and I've sent a message with a link round the whole league.
I do hope that others are tempted into joining in, as it would be great to see some match results from Redhill - which are rarely without incident. ;)
