I'm afraid it's out of choice, Milhouse.
Last year the main league finished early March and they then had two months of cup competitions - it was convenient to me to have this time off. Okay they've done it slightly better this year, punctuating the league programme with the odd competition night.
But the other thing is what I was discussing with Josie on this board - in Surrey the games are highest aggregate over just two legs, and I am used to playing (and much prefer) the format where it's a "best out of three" which IMHO makes for a better evening.
