Southwater SC 2, Mill House 3
Ollie Wilkins 820, Johnny Haigh 3300 (a BP from Ollie half way through let John gain in confidence) Matt Senior 4060, victoria Timson 530 (Vicky lost a good 1500, and then another 500 by potting the break 4 times) Jeff Raine 1310, Margo 210 (a BP from Jeff, this time instead of taking advantage, Margo did the same !) Chris Purkiss 2160, tommo 5930 (tommo able to settle after a shaky start) Gordon Ling 1000, BB Warrior 14,150 (9850 for starters as BBW warmed up for his England match this weekend)
Excellent table, nice and true, dead right hand cushion but not much can be done about that ! Thanks to SWSC for a sociable evening. Good club, good prices, nice spread of food.

Roffey B 3 Holbrook 2 Jim Broderick 630 Martin Murray 2220 Bobhall 2430 Sam Jones 6720 Lorraine Hall 4460 Nigel Evans 3930 Jim Greensted 4340 Steve Hopkins 2400 Darren Newnham 2170 Vic Razzell 1460 Game 1 Jim (was he actually there?) Martin played steady and deserved the point Game 2 Sam off early! Bob break back and going good when he left the one up short, Mr Jones said thank you I`ll have a 4k break, well played Sam ;) Game 3 Nigel got himself in front and then let Baby Guinness on for the last 2/3 Min's and that was enough to bring the home side back to 1-2 Game 4 Steve opened with 2k I got them back but came off at 1500, Steve probably had the game won when on a 2.5k he missed cued and missed the ball at the top of the table. I got on and played out the remaining time 2-2 Game 5 Vic only had bad luck and Darren went on to take the nail biting decider! Could easily have been a Holbrook win they did play well and probably deserved more than 2 points, but thats Billiards!

Please remember any winning players from an opposing teamed are banned from the club for future matches ;) Good to see a few familiar faces again with a little banter. Hats off to Dave and Clive for two great frames. I think BB Warrior could have gone much further than he did as well. I reckon there's a 20k in there from here on a good top soon! Shame about Victoria...she was playing a great game, just needed to hang on to the fourth shot. Tom's back next week so I'm back into early retirement.

To complete the week's record, the remaining three reports, courtesy of Ian:
Plough 2, Roffey Club Y 3 Six wins in a row prove Roffey Y have no intention of giving up their crown. Though Plough’s Kieran Budd threw them off by disposing of Dick Cable in style. Geoff Parsons put Plough 2 up But Roffey didn’t falter a 3K from Rick Langridge put them back in it & Peter Gibbs levelled. Leaving a trade mark 8K from Mick Fairs in the 5th
Limeburners 4, Stout House A 1 Limeburners continue to head Division Two with a win against Stout House A. Steve Holden took out Mr Carver. Dave Howlett won leg 2 but that was it for The Stout. 2 solid games from Tony Temple & Chip Sawyer had the points in the bag, but best of the night came from Mick Johnson in the last.
Windmill A 0, Crawley Club 5 Crawley Club used Windmill B’s bye week to full extent by applying the Brush to Windmill A & jump into second place. First up was Darrell Skinner in a steady game. Chris Kirkham gave a good performance in the 2nd disposing of Rob David. Steve King got the important 3rd leg, followed by wins for Alan Downs & Derek Jessup.
