I was hoping to draw up a straight home and away format for this years competition, however, in working out the amount of available weeks, I had neglected to allow for the two extra weeks created by "byes" when you have an odd number of teams.
We have some options now:
1. Try and badger an eighth team to join to allow two groups of four teams 2. Extend the season into mid-September which would certainly overlap with the start of the Mid-Sussex League 3. Apply the following proposed format:
Everyone plays each other once (home or away depending on the luck of the draw.
At the mid-way point, the top four and bottom three split, and then play each other again, at the opposite venue to before.
This was the structure of the Lewes League Cup this year and worked fairly well to fit it into the time available, it does however mean that not everybody will get to visit every venue.
What would people like to do?
I need to make a decision in the next 24 hours so input from anyone would be very welcome.

USC Captain, Mick Kirwan, tells me he replied to Henry that he supported Option 3 as well.

I will be drawing up the fixtures some time Sunday Monday Tuesday depending on work. Its currently a split between options 2 and 3. Need to hear from a couple of others before I can make a final decision

Option 2 would be our first choice, option 3 the best alternative. ;)
