Smugglers 1 Duke of Wellington 4
I'm sure that Dave Jones will supply the scores, but here is a brief preview..
Chris Lucas beat me in a scrappy first game. Steve Hurley off early, Nigel two big visits to hit 17k. Colin Green lost to Mal Spier who was always in charge. Dave Jones opened with about 1k, Chris Tupper knocked in breaks of 2k and 6k to win the match, although nearly lost the 6k when he whipped out a split shot. Pete Brown never really got into the last game, Henry ended up with about 8.5k but made from several breaks.
Enjoyable evening, nice hot dogs and chips and a good quiz going on. 8-)

White Hart A 4 Atlas 1
Great win for us against our bogey team
Nipper 6760 v 6500 Geoff J. - Fantastic game with Geoff opening with a steady 6500, Martin just had enough time to catch. Messi 4550 v 8290 Ian L. - Alan opened with 4k, then Ian replied with 8k. KT 10260 v 5150 Martin S. - Martin was going well on 5k when he queried Alans call of one-up. He then played it too thin and came off. I retrieved the break and made 8k for the point. Foxy 5540 v 3500 Mark J. - Neither player seemed to get going in this one but Jim made a winning break of 3k near the end. Chocie 11980 v 2240 Tony L. - Tony opened with 2k and then Stu ran the clock out.

Thanks to Lyn Higgins for standing in when both her husband and Barry Squires were indisposed. Neil is back home now by the way.
