Black Horse 3 Duke of Wellington A 2
Ian Lelliott 430 - 14,990* Dave Ingram Richard Wooton 9,180* - 1,390 Bill Kerr Gareth Lloyd 16,000 - 1,240* Mal Spier Nigel Senior 19,620* - 0 Tony Jenner Marcus Chipman 3,240 - 4,600* Rick Cunningham
Our first visit to the new venue, nice pub and plenty of people there for a quiz tonight but no problems as the table is nicely positioned out of the way. 8-)
A good evening in very pleasant company with some very nice pizza, chicken nuggets and chunky chips. ;D

Romans 4-1 Branch
P.Aylemore 1520 - 1150 K.Smith** - could definitely have gone either way this one. Kev lost his opening break and then the rest of the time was spent at the top of the table.
**R.Pettiford 6440 - 1130 D.Robins - after a shaky start Ross played an excellent match showing his true form and giving Darren no chance until very late on
D.Roberts 2390 - 2150 A.Reay** - a very competitive match with the result in doubt until the last ball dropped. Dave built up a good lead at about the half-way mark but Adam managed to get the balls back but played one break shot very thin to let Dave back with a chance and in a nervy finish Dave won sinking the 100 to give us an unassailable lead
**R.McGuiness 760 - 1000 F.Young - a first win for Faye in a low scoring game - well done to her
M.Knight 5650 - 1050 L.Stoner** - Phil didn't fancy the last game or he wanted to give Lana a game....... :-X either way Lana played the break much better than most of our team getting it first time and keeping her score 8-) She played some good shots at the top of the table and I have heard that coach Phil Reay does a better job than......others ;D
Cracking night and we finally looked as though we could play the game, plenty of banter mainly from a certain Mr Kevin Stoner ;)

No Doug didn't quite get that far, but bearing in mind the volume from certain members of both teams, Toni declared Kev the winner of the most noisy person award 8-) and we are playing the Albion in the cup next week ;D

A great evening with some great people. Steve and Terry killed there games with there first breaks. Everyone else had plenty of chances, including myself who got the break back twice but played like a fool.
We're on our break now until next year, but it's been good fun so far. For everyone in the Brighton League, may I wish you all a Merry Christmas :)
