Its interesting to see comments on other social networks about certain teams, in cup games
"It is a real shame when winning is so much more important than sportsmanship . We knew we would more than likely get beat tonight but there is no need to set out to make lower division players look stupid. It is teams such as the duke of Wellington that prevent the game growing . If we were a newer team then tonight could well of been enough to make us quit. Only one of their players is a gentleman , well done mal"
In my cup game I just happened to black peg 3 times and lose several breaks which enabled Zoe to get her first ever win ! We were 2 nil up at the time.
We would never set out to make lower divison teams look stupid , and would never put thousands past new players.
However some players who suffer from sour grapes and can not take defeat are a different kettle of fish entirely ;)

Strangely, that same person made no complaint at all when their (lower division) team thrashed a higher division team 4-1 in the previous round of the same competition.... :o .... which does make me feel that there is a lot of merit in the final comment made by Richard here. ;D ;D

I am merely making a point. I can not respond on facebook as not friends with the person. I occasionaly play for the Duke of Wellington in Worthing and so does Nigel. I am merely pointing out that we do consider who we are playing and play accordingly.

Agree but the 'sour grapes' comment is nothing to do with the way you play, That is directed at someone else, so as Tony said 'Be nice people'. Sav.
