Montreal 2-3 Romans
M.Barsby 2470 - 2190 P.Aylemore** - Pete messed up the first break, then got them back and went 4 down, then still had a chance to win and missed a simple pot on the red in the 50. All the time Mick kept adding a few and kept enough for the win
T.Hocking 1380 - 600 R.McGuiness** - neither player was keen to win this one, although Rose scored plenty but lost a lot with the peg getting in the way. Trev did just about enough for the win
M.Scott 2120 - 2370 D.Roberts** - Dave got a nice early lead and Moppy slowly clawed his way back into the game, the bar went with Moppy slightly in front, but he came off and Dave cleared up for the win
B.Mechan 2960 - 2970 R.Pettiford** - after the previous games Ross showed that it was very possible to get the break, coming off at just under 2K, he then got the break back and was going nicely but lost another 2K break. This let Bob back in but time was against him. With two balls left he needed 70 for the tie, but one ball went in the 30, and the other rolled gently towards the other 30 and dropped in. Ross wins a thriller by 10 points ;)
G.Mechan 960 - 12,470 M.Knight** - managed 6570 off the break and then after a bit of play at the top of the table I added a few more
Great night with the Mont lads as always, top blokes. Table was good, although not everyone found it to their liking. Thanks for the excellent food ;)
