Whoever took it upon themselves to tell the Roffey that we had changed the venue nearly 2 weeks ago and had not bothered to let them know, I hope will now tell them that they were wrong. Please leave things to the committee as its not nice making a phone call and people think you are not telling the truth!! I hope that person feels suitably embarrassed.

Redhill B have now confirmed that they are available to play in the B Team Competition, however sadly no Redhill B Ladies or Worthing Ladies this year. :'(
Now just waiting for confirmation of availability from the last two teams.....
Division 2 - to be played on Sunday 24th February (original date)
Billingshurst
Division 1 - now to be played on Sunday 3rd March (the original planned date)
Littlehampton
If there are any members of the Forum who usually play for either of those teams, perhaps they could find out and let me know?
Many thanks, in anticipation. ;D

Congratulations to Worthing C on their victory today, with Worthing B finishing as runners-up. 8-) Some excellent games and scores made during the day, Dave France topping the individual performances with 5 wins out of 5 and an average in excess of 11.7k per game. :D All of the results and scores will be on the Sussex Website at some time over the next couple of days, probably after the Division 2 competition tomorrow. ;)

All of the results, scores and averages from the B Team Competition are now on the Sussex Website.... www.sussexbarbilliards.com/Sussex/1%20day%20cups/2013/B%20Teams%202013.htmA few little facts and figures from yesterday.... The overall scores from the matches played in the competition this year were 898,990.... an incredible 33.6% increase on the 672,740 points scored in 2012 from the same number of games! :o In the 105 games played, there were 68 individual scores above 5k (made by 29 different players) and 17 individual scores of 10k plus in a game made by 11 different players with Dave France (Worthing B) hitting 4 scores above 10k, Colin Robbins (Redhill B) 3 scores above 10k and Mal Spier (Worthing C) 2 scores above 10k in their 5 matches. 8-) Dave France also hit the highest individual score (14,470) ever recorded in the history of the B Team One Day Inter League Competition in a single leg game. ;D My thanks go to Kevin Hall for his assistance in setting the tables up, Tony Jenner and Colleen Park for their help with cleaning the balls, tables and Admin yesterday, Rob Hall for helping to move the furniture around, Colleen for selling the Raffle Tickets which raised a fantastic £140 on the day, Colin Robbins for his excellent food (as always) and the Hurst Club for their hospitality and assistance in arranging the day at short notice.... not forgetting AEBBA and Chris Saville for the superb tables that we are using. 8-) ;D ;D ;D

Dave France also hit the highest individual score (14,470) ever recorded in the history of the B Team One Day Inter League Competition in a single leg game. ;D Well done Dave, and all the rest, it sounds like a VERY competitive day. I'd be very interested Dave if in amongst your stats you could see what I scored in the 2005 or 2006 comp, I know it wasn't anywhere near Daves score but I can remember getting well over 10k, I also remember Jock scoring and asking me to slow down a bit so he could keep up ;D and that the one game I lost was a big fat zero score when I was kept off the table.

I'll answer for Dave as he's up to his eyes in it running today's competition. Your enquiry seems to tie in with this page: www.sussexbarbilliards.com/Sussex/1%20day%20cups/2006/Division%202.htmLooks like you were very severe on Ric Bithell, Gandalf and "Mr 20k" the Yorkshire Terrier. And the only person to beat you on the day was Billingshurst's Bogmeister ! ;D The leg score against Ric was 13,920 and you finished top of the averages. Happy days !
