Hi Lewes BB Fans
Result card for The Star v The Bridge
Peter Payne 3310 v 4580 Kevin Stoner Colin Southouse 6330 v 0 Kevin Hall Stewart Chant 290 v 2010 Brian Muggeridge Tony Smith 6260 v 360 Doug Dawson Bob Osbourne 1940 v 6520 Jean Brackenridge
result The Bridge win 3-2 with the games going with the break all night
Little Kevin opened well and kept ahead of the chasing Peter, a nice 2k near the end gave peter a chance but Kevin kept control throughout
Colin opened with almost 2k and big Kevin had no luck, another 2x2ks from Colin almost sealed it, but Chunky recovered the break and was working on 4.5k at the bar needing 700ish with the remaining balls to steel the game, the BP got in the way in the end. Nice to get a victory against chunky at last.
Brian lost his opening 2k and from then on it all went a bit pear shaped for both players to the amusement of all spectators who had plenty of helpful comment to make during the game....just when it was needed, another 1.5k at the end from Brian took the game to the relief of the visitors
Tony Smith was on fire tonight opening with 2x1ks and a 4k to reach a seasons PB in all leagues and off the spot as well, so well done to him, Doug was a bit shell shocked having no luck.
The decider between Jean and Bob was expected to be a great match, Jean opened with 2k, but bob was unable to recover the break in good time when he did Jean was 4k ahead, Bob Managed 2k but broke down leaving jean to pick up the pieces and secure the win for the Bridge
Another super sized pair of Pizzas to be forced down tonight, followed by a quick game of 4 Pin at the close between Colin & Tony, Little Kev and Brian to make it 3-3 with the star getting 2.6k and the bridge 1.6k ::) ;) Hold on to your hats Norwich ::) 8-) :o ;D
And all in all another great night full of laughs

No interest here for that format of the game and sincerely hope that it doesn't appear as a proposal for the League Cup next year in Lewes.... ::) :P

Mmmm interesting idea not sure if we have enough sets of mushrooms but sure we grow some :). I think that most of us in the League have enough problems with 3 pegs on the table without adding another one and then putting them right in front of the holes that we use the most in the "proper" format of the game.... ;D
