Hopefully the Fox-Predictor is having a Bye this week too! Well, I reckon that Dun Horse B will have no problem reaching the semi-finals of the Team Cup and Stout House A and Plough will definitely make it through to the Team Plate Semi-Finals.... ::) .... the other matches could be a lot closer and a bit harder to predict! ;D

Hopefully the Fox-Predictor is having a Bye this week too! I think Foxy must borrow Boball's famous "Randomiser Application". ;D Dave's Crystal Ball is far more reliable and I think I'll endorse his selections as above ! ;) ;D

Although Mill House look good to me ;D sorry Tommo :D Well despite carrying the burden of Foxy's predictions, Mill House managed to struggle through 3-1. And with Slippery Steve on last it could have been so much different had not our Mike played a blinder against their Mike in game four, overturning quite a deficit.Johnny 2710 Dave L 3260 Barry 3990 Gary C 1210 Tony 8590 Barry D 460 Mick 3830 Mike L 2710 (dead rubber): tommo 6640 Steve Eely 510 (flwg BP)

DUN HORSE A:1 ROFFEY CLUB:4
Dick:7140 Graham:2140 Bob:3300 "Mr. Ranking Points" (Paul apparently):2550 Mick:6770 Roy:3130 Roy had a good lead until the last 5 minutes here. James:1070 Spud:1310 Will point out that I opened with around 6k, had another good one going and then a missed split happened. One ball went down and the other one parked itself right infront of the Black peg, almost touching. One shot later and 8k5 was down the toilet! Never mind, somehow still managed to pull it out of the bag. Lee:4980 Ron:3010
Very good night with the Roffey club with plenty of good banter. Cheers all.

Never mind, somehow still managed to pull it out of the bag. That's a horrible thing to happen. Whilst still of tender years, in an Interleague match between Horsham and Littlehampton, I once had 5k on the board and another break of 5k going when the ball whipped out of the 50 on the break and parked itself the other side of the 200 hole, with the BP obscuring it. I tried to hold the break with a gentle-ish shot off the cush, but it cut back sharply, ringed the pocket and took the BP out on the third circuit of the pocket ! Not 5k but 10k lost and a grateful Bill Sensier potted the break twice to win. >:( At least you managed to finish up the winner ! 8-)

Cheers for the sympathy Tommo. Rather glad this one happened in a "dead rubber" as there would have been the sore temptation to play a "whoopps I missed" shot! However, as I put the ball there I felt an attempt had to be made to move it. Whats the ettiquette? No idea. Enyoyable game regardless.

However, as I put the ball there I felt an attempt had to be made to move it. Whats the ettiquette? No idea. Enyoyable game regardless. Well, it's extremely difficult to play the cut to send the ball away at a 90 degree angle, unless it's on a table with which you are really familiar. So a rather wimpy shot off the side cushion is called for, allowing a good margin for error. And if you are trying to touch the offending ball to hold a break, you may well still get the black but at least you will have a fighting chance in going off the cush as it would give you a better angle.

Word via the generic handheld device is... Holbrook won 4-1
That's 5 from 5 results correct with 1 correct score.
I retire from the stoopid predictions on top of the tree - over & out!
