could be snow go tonight! Southwater v Dun Horse B VERY DOUBTFUL We have one player in Henfield and one in Southwater and I wouldn't want them to risk life and limb. Sensible thing would be to call off ALL of tonight's matches, and re-schedule them for the spare week (23rd April). :-/ [edit] - Brilliant sunshine in Crawley and clear blue sky: the thaw has started, and even the side roads look okay.
A 'pitch inspection' will be held at 6pm. ;D

It's looking better as the day goes on, but I wouldn't want anybody to take unnecessary risks It's up to each team to decide & I'll happily accept any postponements.
We do already have 2 postponed matches fixed for the spare week.

We were going to see a rare appearance from our 'secret weapon' as it's against the Champions - but unfortunately Lancing is snow-bound. :'(

Thanks Foxy but we had none, as we were put to the sword. Margo for instance, in for "Mr 20k", kicked off with a nice 920 break but Dick gave her no chance to add to it. The table played very nicely - what we saw of it ! ::) Lloydy 9600, tommo 4910 Moose 8540, Micky 1690 Shaggy 6020, Franksey 5300 Rocky 2210, Johnny 1600 Dementia 12,230 Margo 920 Roffey Y 5, Mill House BFZ

Moose? Shaggy? Rocky? Dementia?
Who the hell were you playing? The Four Horesmens reserve side?
Luckily the Dun Horse A only had to play against a Twiggy and a Noggsy but they both won and we lost 3-2. Very good evening with the Stout House crowd.

Who the hell were you playing? The Four Horesmens reserve side? LOL Visiting the Roffey is becoming a little apocalyptic these days ! It will be a good side that prevents them from taking both leagues. :-/ Black Dog 5, Windmill A 0 according to Alan the Oracle.

Some meat to put round the bones: Black Dog also win 5-0 but remain in the danger zone. Chris Kirkham picked up the first point in see saw game, Alan Downs had the best on the night with 6690, Steve King got the important 3rd, the rest were bonus points as Dave Evans & Darrell Skinner grabbed the last 2. Windmill B 3 Limeburners 2 Windmill B had a home win against Limburners who go on equal points with The Plough in Div 2. Mike Lennon held on to a slender margin at the end of the game which proved vital latter on. Tony Temple hit back for Limeburners with a good game from Chip Sawyer to put them briefly ahead. The 4th saw Steve Eely holding off Steve Holden to bring it to 2 all, a game that could have gone to either player eventually went to Windmill’s Barry Dumbrill Dun Horse A 2 Stout House A 3 Luckily the Dun Horse A only had to play against a Twiggy and a Noggsy but they both won and we lost 3-2. Very good evening with the Stout House crowd. Stout House A Take a determined win at The Dun Horse, it was plain sailing through the first 3 to give them the match. Glyn Owen set it up by defeating skipper Paul Jobbins Keith Newman set the top score in the 2nd & John Tidy wrapped up the 3rd. Dun Horse a bit late bounced back as Ron Sheridan & Richard Spurrier (5120) took the last 2 games. (Writeups taken from Ian's weekly report).
