Well, we actually WON a couple of games in March.... so we were hoping we could make the month last a bit longer!! ::) ;D Unfortunately, April has arrived.... ::) Duke of Wellington A 1 Black Horse Rottingdean 4 Mal Spier 100 - 16,050* Gareth Lloyd Gareth touched on just under 11k and then got the break back again to give Mal no time on the table. 0-1 Rick Cunningham 2,890* - 4,310 Marcus Chipman Rick off early, Marcus lost a 3k plus break and the game turned scrappy for a while, Rick first to get the break back but broke down leaving Marcus the chance to chase his score which he did. 0-2 Dave Ingram 1,180 - 13,360* Nigel Senior Nigel touched on 13k, I got a few at the end. 0-3 Dave Anscombe 3,070* - 10,630 Ian Lelliott Dave off early, Ian touched on 8.5k and both players then had another break each after that. 0-4 Tony Jenner 12,560 - 1,460* Chris Reeves Chris off early, Tony first to get the break back and made a very good 12k break coming off just before the bar dropped. 1-4 Table superb tonight, our opponents were quick to take advantage of that and now look favorites to retain the title again this year. 8-)

Branch 3 - 2 Romans
Z.Stoner 1040 - B/P R.McGuiness** **D.Robins 1790 - 1110 R.Pettiford L.Stoner 1210 - 2100 P.Aylemore** **A.Reay 2200 - 2870 M.Knight L.Swaysland 2300 - 840 T.Hunt**
Dire performance from the away side, played it all wrong on and off the table. Well done the the Branch who were deserved winners on the night, all of them playing steadily on a perfectly playable table. 'Showboater Stoner' winning the first match ;)

Sorry about the lateness of this report, but here it is....
Atlas C vs Horse & Groom.
Steve Mariner 5,419 - 11,470 Terry Molloy Terry went on and make a great break of 11,430 in about 15 minutes to get the job done and bringing Steve's incredible scoring run to an end. Even then Steve went on to get a few. 1-0 to the Horse and Groom.
Grant Tulley 11,940 - 4,330 Terry Coghlan Same deal as the previous leg, Grant got the job done before touching up, then Terry went on to get a few himself. 1-1
Jim Millward 9,730 - 6,940 Terry Race Terry was the first person to miss on the night, coming off early and allowing Jim on, where he got the break back and made enough to close out the frame and touching up before Terry got a few more. 2-1 to the Atlas Geoff Jukes 7,200 - 3,470 Mick Hall An up and down affair, Geoff came off with a few thousand, but Mick could not take advantage. After a little messing around, Geoff got enough to seal the win as Mick could not go fast enough to catch the score at the end. 3-1 to the Atlas and match won. As always, we now come onto the epic final match.
Glenn Chubb 240 - 11,470 Stuart Mepham Steve pegged his opening 3k giving me the break back at the same time. I got to a couple of thousand and pegged them, and Stuart needed no second chance to pretty much seal the game. That's about the 20th time I've played Stuart and I have a perfect record...... I've lost them all! So it ended 3-2 to us.
Great evening with great opponents. As always thanks to the Atlas for the food and general niceness. Good luck to the Horse and Groom for the rest of the season, and I will personally be seeking revenge next year :)
Take care all
