Chubbster's Prayer 8-)
Our tables, Which art called Bar Billiards, Hallowed be thy cue. Thy will be smooth, (I will be calm), At home as it is in the Romans. Give us this day our holy chalk, And forgive us our forum posts, As we forgive those who post against us. And lead us not into Chubbster insults, But deliver us from Warriors trash talking. For thine is the break, the bar, and the clock, For ever and ever Amen

......and this should keep it off the Number 1 spot (with apologies to Mr Blobby):
Chubbster, oh Chubbster, if only you could make us understand Chubbster, oh , Chubbster your influence would spread throughout the land
Let's hear it for Rick Astley (Never Gonna Give You Up etc)
His philosophy of life will steer him through And as far as he can see He's the same as you and me There's nothing in the world he cannot do
No hill too high, no desert too dry No road too long, no tide too strong No Bridge too far, he's got a car No slope too steep, no thought too deep No star too bright, no squeeze too tight No tale too tall, no Tommo too cool No bass too low, he'll give it a go No end to his talents, no sense of balance
Chubbster , oh Chubbster, when disaster strikes you never get depressed Chubbster , oh Chubbster, you'll always try to prove that Glenn is the best
Although he's unconventional in hue His philosophy of life will steer him through And despite the limitation Of his “youngster imitation” He knows he'll show the world a thing or two
Chubbster, Mr Chubbster, you're the guy who puts the do in do or die Chubbster, Mr Chubbster , your deeds are guaranteed to stupefy
No table too rough, no test too tough No break too thick, no baize too quick No shot too hot, he'll hit the spot No style too chic, no split too weak No chance too slim, no fate too grim No foe too strong, no odds too long No price too high, he's put some by No dodge, no doubt, no backing out
Chubbster oh Chubbster , if humanity's a question of degree Chubbster, Mr Chubbster, stay loyal to your Astley pedigree Chubbster, oh Chubbster , who wears the Warrior Rocks My World vest Chubbster, whatever age you are you'll always aspire to be the best.

I've not even started yet, although I can reveal that I have been working on a special chant for Chubbster this evening that is not quite the same as the one he had previously suggested! :P Great to see one of our opponents is reduced to praying about the match tonight.... ::) .... personally I am happy to just let the Devil look after one of his own. ;D ;D ;D

I will also be doing a recording of this and putting it on YouTube me thinks. Ah, I can see the changing face of the "rick-roll" developing from this..... ::) .... and we will end up with the new improved "Chubb-Roll" instead, sounds a bit like an alternative to a sausage roll but nowhere near as enjoyable or satisfying! :o ;D ;D Oh and Dave, me and the devil are old friends! We go back a long, long way me and him. And sipite me not letting him have my soul, he will be watching tonight :) I think that I have been friends with him longer Chubbster.... one of the reasons that I can take part in all of those lovely "OAP Competitions" that you do not qualify for.... :P 8-) ;D ;D

Word of warning here to both sides......."If you dance with the devil, you will get burnt". :o (Much the same as a wise man also once said "if you lie down with dogs, you will get fleas". ;))
Let's hope that no-one gets burnt - or bitten - tonight and that it's a good match. 8-)

And now my predictions.... And here are my thoughts on the evening.... 8.00pm Table 1 - Lower Division Singles - M.Knight 2 v 0 D.Robins The Competition Secretary has a busy night ahead of him arranging everything and playing in 3 different finals as well.... :o .... no comments about "dodgy draws" please.... :-X .... but he is on home territory tonight even if he hasn't got the "benefit" of playing on the best table in Southwick and I expect he will make a good start to his evening. :D Both players seemed to struggle with the table in this match and Darren took it all the way only losing to a last ball 200 from Matt in the decider.... 1 point for correctly predicting the winner. ;) 8.00pm Table 2 - Mixed Doubles - Z.Stoner/K.Stoner 0 v 2 S.Hall/K.Hall Experience to count here I feel, but a great achievement for Zoe (with a "little (legs)" bit of help from her dad) to reach the final in her first season of playing. 8-) Spot on for 2 points with this prediction. :D 8.00pm Table 3 - Over 55s - C.Tupper 2 v 1 M.Pope Plenty of experience for both players here with Chris just getting the better thanks to some "Tupper-Time" in the decider. ;) Match not played on the night. 9.00pm Table 1 - Licensees - M.Adatepe 2 v 0 A.Graham Hard to see any other result than a win for the Turkish Number One. :D Spot on for 2 more points here. ;) 9.00pm Table 2 - Open Doubles - D.Ingram/B.Kerr 2 v 1 G.Chubb/J.Millward Possibly one of the most even of all of tonights games with the defending champions looking to hold on to their title for a further year.... expect some tricks from the challengers with rumours of a new T-Shirt making a debut with the Chubbster.... ::) No points here for me.... :'( 9.00pm Table 3 - Lower Division Doubles - A.Reay/P.Reay 0 v 2 M.Knight/R.Pettiford The Competition Secretary wraps up his second title of the night. 8-) Another 2 points for a correct prediction here though. :D 10.00pm Table 1 - Mens Singles - N.Senior 2 v 0 C.Tupper After the disppointment of just missing out on the title last year, I expect that Nigel will be firing on all cylinders tonight. 8-) Just the one point here for correctly predicting the result.... great deciding game between these two. 8-) 10.00pm Table 2 - Mens Plate - M.Adatepe 2 v 1 M.Knight Another close match to call and much will depend on how Mert gets on with the table but I think he will just edge this one to deprive "Silent" of the hat-trick..... :-/ 2 more points for getting this one right. ;D 10.00pm Table 3 - Ladies Singles - S.Hall 1 v 2 B.Stoner Both ladies on good form lately with Bella perhaps just having the edge.... :-/ It finished 2-0 to Bella, so just 1 point for correctly predicting the winner. ;) 11 points for me, with one result to come. ;)

How did Nigel get on.... :D Ok I will join in the fun :D .... 8.00pm Table 1 - Lower Division Singles - M.Knight 2 v 0 D.Robins Repeat of last years final and I am going for the same result Well Matt proved to be the winner (just) so 1 point for predicting that.... but I should probably take away a point as it wasn't the same "D.Robins" that Matt played in the final, but I won't be that cruel! ::) ;D 8.00pm Table 2 - Mixed Doubles - Z.Stoner/K.Stoner 0 v 2 S.Hall/K.Hall I think it may a match too far for the Stoners and I expect the 2011 champs to win title number 2. Indeed they did.... 2 points for correctly predicting this one. :D 8.00pm Table 3 - Over 55s - C.Tupper 2 v 0 M.Pope Tupper to go one better than last year Match not played last night.9.00pm Table 1 - Licensees - M.Adatepe 2 v 0 A.Graham I expect Mert to win this one. Spot on for 2 points. :D 9.00pm Table 2 - Open Doubles - D.Ingram/B.Kerr 1 v 2 G.Chubb/J.Millward Tough one to call, will be interesting to see who takes the breaks, but I believe in you Chubbster! 2 points for the correct result here.... perhaps you meant I believe in you Jimbo though.... ::) ;D 9.00pm Table 3 - Lower Division Doubles - A.Reay/P.Reay 1 v 2 M.Knight/R.Pettiford I fancy the Reay's to take a game, but think Matt will win this for the 2nd time with his new partner Ross 1 point only here for correctly predicting the winners. ;) 10.00pm Table 1 - Mens Singles - N.Senior 0 v 2 C.Tupper Well i never tip myself do I? Perhaps you should have done.... no points here. ::) 10.00pm Table 2 - Mens Plate - M.Adatepe 1 v 2 M.Knight Well if Matt's stamina doesn't let him down I think he will get through this 2-1. No points here either with Mert proving stronger in the decider. ;) 10.00pm Table 3 - Ladies Singles - S.Hall 2 v 1 B.Stoner Bella going for a hat trick of titles and 5th overall, but I think it is about time Sandra won this one so I will go for her to win 2-1 No points here for the result.... but a bonus point for the information that Bella has now won a hat trick of titles. ;) 9 points for Nigel.

And now Chunky Monkey.... who has probably already worked out how many points he has got.... ::) ;D Ok Warrior as you asked so nicely :D 8.00pm Table 1 - Lower Division Singles - M.Knight 2 v 0 D.Robins 2-1 to Matt in an exciting finish to this game.... so 1 point for predicting the winner. :D 8.00pm Table 2 - Mixed Doubles - Z.Stoner/K.Stoner 1 v 2 S.Hall/K.HallSorry Stoner & Gravel but my money is on us Monkeys :P we will let you have one little leg though :-/ ;D Only 1 point for the result.... but a bonus point for the humour. ;D 8.00pm Table 3 - Over 55s - C.Tupper 2 v 1 M.Pope Match not played.... so we will have to wait and see about the points here. :-/ 9.00pm Table 1 - Licensees - M.Adatepe 2 v 0 A.Graham Spot on for 2 points here.... ;) 9.00pm Table 2 - Open Doubles - D.Ingram/B.Kerr 2 v 0 G.Chubb/J.Millward Sorry Chubbster i Don't Believe and think your gonna wish you stayed home :o ;D ;D Sadly, no points for the result.... but I will give you a bonus point as the pairs was won by a single player! :o ;D 9.00pm Table 3 - Lower Division Doubles - A.Reay/P.Reay 0 v 2 M.Knight/R.PettifordSpot on for 2 points. ;D 10.00pm Table 1 - Mens Singles - N.Senior 2 v 0 C.Tupper I don't think Nige is going the make the same mistake as last years Awesome Final so am backing him to take it 2-0 With Nigel breaking down on his break about 100 short of Tupps in the decider, history did nearly repeat itself.... :o .... although this time he had enough time to take the win to earn you a point. ;) 10.00pm Table 2 - Mens Plate - M.Adatepe 1 v 2 M.Knightmmmmm this one is a toughie to call.... come on silent, I believe in You ;D Your belief was mis-placed on this occasion.... no points here. :'( 10.00pm Table 3 - Ladies Singles - S.Hall 2 v 1 B.Stoner Sorry Bella, i cant bet against Mrs Monkey in this. A bonus point for loyalty is all I can give you here I'm afraid.... :-* A bonus point also for correctly pointing out that Racehorse should have had 14 points.... giving you a total of 11 points. ;)
