Yes I know this is probably the wrong place but feel free to move it.
I was in the Jolly post boys last night and spotted a Bar Billiard table. After chatting to the landlord Paul he said he got it in for people to have a game on.
It looked a bit strange, no D or spot, two spots in from of the 200, spots in front of the 50 and 100's. I looked at the rules he had by it and it would appear that it was used for the 4 pin variation as he had one but unfortunately one peg has broken. He has a red, white and black one.
Paul and I were discussing where the spots would be and the d plus baulk line as that is what he remembered of the game.
so over to the many people who have detailed knowledge of a table set up.
questions are as follows:
where should the d be located and what sixe it is? how far to the spot in front of the D how far should the white peg spots be from the centre of the 100's Does it matter if the other spots remain on the table (the ones in front of the 50 would have to go)
I also mention the various leagues to him Wallingford - Mondays Eynsham - Tuesdays Oxford - Thursdays
He seemed interested.
Answers on a postcard please and I will forward to him any information provided.
Thanks
Keith

They have all the spot positions now, but it does appear to be a narrow table....
