Hi Interleague Fans
Results card for Hastings v Eastbourne Played at The Ashburnham Hastings 05/01/14
Colin Southouse 11970 v 1370 James Bown Dave White 5400 v 1800 Mike Reilly Andy Eldridge 1240 v 2190 Peter Payne Roy Harmer 7440 v 1940 Chris Haynes Sandy Harmer 7540 v 1970 Chris Turner Phil Osborne 4670 v 2240 Tony Smith Mike Daw 15810 (12080 break) v 0 Nigel Pead
Hastings win 6-1
The match started at 5pm Colin opened with 3k them gave James a few chances to catch up which were not accepted, another brace of 3ks from Colin made the game safe Mike was off early and gave Dave opportunities to recover the break and a couple of 2ks late on sealed the 2nd game Peter was off early and Andy had more opportunities than he could count but the balls could not have been more in the visitors camp for the whole game leaving Peter to take the visitors 1st and only game of the night Roy opened with 3k and gave the break to Chris ( a bit under the weather again) who miss cued and lost 1.5k Roy never looked back and Chris never looked forward Chris T opened fairly well leaving sandy to play catch up even better, a few lost breaks from Chris gave Sandy a fairly easy run to the bar and thematch Tony opened with 500 and Phil struggled to score but crept ahead about half way through opening up a 2k lead, Tony had a chance at the end to catch up but as with the rest of his team never got used to the table and broke down on a 1k with a foul. The final game was about as one sided as possible mike opened up with 2.5k gave Nigel a shot which was missed, Mike then got the break back and played a brilliant 12080 break and tuck to post a seasons PB and take the last game, Mike is near the top of his game and its great to see
The match was played in great humour throughout as you would expect from 2 teams comprising players that play together in various local leagues

Littlehampton 5-2 Horsham
*Dave Simmonds 4850 - 3400 Lee Cable Dave Hampton 4530 - 5040 John Miller* (John with a late 3k to steal this from Dave) Alan Messer 5810 - 2130 Dick Cable* *Declan Dynes 6540 - 4150 Adam Kuzimski (Declan had a fine 5k break mid game to put this out of reach) John Dynes 4310 - 2670 Steve King* Steve Beach 5850 - 3470 Stuart Carruthers* (Steve's experience just enough against a good showing from newbie Stuart) *Simon Chant 4560 - 4930 Steve Hopkins ( a Brilliant win for another newbie - Steve chased down 2.5k to steal the win)
Littlehampton were unlucky not to get 7 wins, one of those nights for Horsham! Thanks Dave & The Locomotive for another fun night!

Unfortunately I was unable to make one of the inter-league matches and Glenn played instead of me. He hadn't played for any other inter-league team at that time. Brighton B have 7 regular players so as Brighton A were short of players they asked Glenn to play. If anyone cannot make any future games we will have to find another reserve as Glenn can now no longer play for the B team.

I only wondered that was all. Strange though as the game he played for the B team was against the A team ?
