This years captains cup will be played at the Cock Inn on Monday 3rd March.
Draw as follows
Huw Lincoln (Cock) v Geoff Fairs (Plough)
Derek Taylor (Hassocks) v Dave Ingram (L.Fish)
Stewart Chant (Star) v Colin Southouse (Glynde)
Kev Stoner (YO Black Horse) v Ric Bithell (Black Horse)
First match to be played at 8 o'clock.

Congratulations to Dave Ingram on his win tonight , full scores to follow tomorrow but a 10k break in his opener against Derek the highlight, Geoff and Colin both had chances as did I against Colin in the semi but Dave at his 2nd attempt proved victorious.

Many thanks to Kev S and the Lewes Committee for arranging this competition, also to Kev H who kindly went over to the Cock Inn and set up two nice tables for us to play the matches on.  Enjoyable evening with some good close games played in both the Captains Cup and also the Ladies Singles Competition, I thought that it was a great idea to play both of these on the same night at the same venue and it was nice to see a number of people there to support the players taking part.  A big thank you also to the Cock Inn for their hospitality during the evening and for laying on a nice spread of food.  |
