The BHBBL Finals took place last night, and the results are below

Thank you so much for the award tonight. It was so unexpected, but massively appreciated. Looking forward to next season already.
P.s watch out for springbok, we've found our way!

Never before was an award so deserved, Gary, nor so popular ! I expect the trusty Tidy will give a full summary of events in the morning....... What a rum state of affairs though with top players invalided or indisposed. Our thoughts still with Ricky Dewdney who was unable to fit his Singles Semi in. Andy Finn who had a health scare which recently hospitalised him. Richard Plaw stricken down with "man flu" rendering him unable to participate in Open Doubles and Mixed Doubles finals, subsitutes being provided. And a mystery no-show from Rick Langridge. This caused the Zeds to implode in the Cup Final, having to concede a leg not helping. However, Vernon and Diesel were both able to bounce back and win the "biggies" : Mens Singles and Ladies Singles. Worthy Champions. A joyous event, well done to the organisers (JT, Steve E, Lin, Trevor etc) and many thanks to the Alfold Club for some excellent refreshments.

Just like to welcome Vernon to "The Club" Well done mate a singles champ at last well chuffed for you and Denise was determined to win and it showed in her second game when Ding looked like she had done enough to take it to a decider! Well done both of you!

Last match report of an enjoyable season from Clacky.
Woffey SSC 2 Wailway 3 Moose 1,610 Rob Ringer Jones 6,080 Moose struggled a bit and let Rob in to make the most of it. Dementia 6,020 Nigel 6,880 Great game of billiards, Dick first hit of 5,600, Nigel coming back with 6,400 (ish). Foxy 7,860 Clacky 4,970 Early 4K from me, knew it wasn't enough and Jim made me pay...I did double the last ball into to 200 though... Twiggy 3,370 Skippy 6,810 Twiggy off early letting Adam in for a 6K break, Adam always gets nervous when in front with the bar down...a spot of cup history here....defeat from the jaws of victory... Glyn 5,420 Boggy 4,130 Boggy making the early running but Glyn playing well to take the game at the end.
Lively match with the Roffey boys as per usual.
My thanks to the Alfold club for a super evening and the care they showed to Ian King.

The scores........ tommo w/o Barry Timson 6630, Vernon Sparkes 1530 Alan Downs 5470, Peter Gibbs 7790 Graham Daniels 7610, Denise Wills 910 The Mill 3 Stout House Z 1Junkie declined to play the dead frame against Mick Holmwood. I looked round at my team afterwards, all of whom have been playing b-b's since the late 1960s/early 1970s: a picture of rude health and something to be extremely grateful for.....we put it down to good, clean living ! Felt really sorry for Dickie though, what a thing to happen on what should have been his night of glory once again. Get well soon m8. Well done to the Railway, b.t.w. you must be feeling "Chuffed" at overcoming the League Champions. Third time lucky.

Many thanks to the two subs, Gibbo & Twiggy, who took my place in the Open Doubles/Mixed Doubles. Congrats to Gary on his Ron Child award. Such a shame that we lost the team cup final though
