Ye Olde Black Horse 2-3 Blue Anchor A Ian 11,890 - 3600 Bill** - Bill missed early, Ian smashed in 10,050 to continue his winning streak. He is 'psyched' for the weekend **Martin 5950 - 6750 Mal - Martin built a near 6k lead but then the balls went awkward. Mal worked hard to get them back and knocked in a quality break of 6k to win the leg Nigel 10,060 - 4070 Rick** - Rick built a 4k lead with a couple of early breaks but when Nige got the balls back, he took out some of his anger with an excellent break to put the home team in the lead **Marcus 2440 - 5250 Matt - Turned out to be the decider, Marcus took the early advantage with the break and then there was work to be done to clear the balls, which I managed first and knocked in a 5k break to give us the match. absent player 0 - w/o TJ - Sadly the Black Horse only had 4 players which was disappointing, for TJ but mainly for them as it meant an away victory 3-2 Excellent night in the company of some great people with some cracking food

Albion Fishersgate 4 Hikers Rest A 1 Glenn Chubb 8,790 - 7,280* Alan Brackenridge A cracking opening game at our new venue with just one visit each to the table, Alan setting a very good target but Chubbster (clearly inspired by the new drink he tried) managed to play the table out and chase his score down. 1-0 Dave Ingram 17,780* - 250 Kevin Stoner Three bites at the cherry (6k, 7k and 4k at the end) for me with Kev unable to get the balls back in between. 2-0 Sue Mariner 620 - 4,270* Kevin Hall Kev lost his opening 11.6k break when well on target for 20k, Sue unable to get the break back and Kev got over the line at the end although he tried hard to lose it then by whipping out a split after the bar had dropped! 2-1 Jim Millward 9,100* - 4,550 Sandra Hall Jim off early and Sandra made most of the early running before Jim got the balls back again and added 7k to make sure. 3-1 Geoff Jukes 6,740 - 4,530* Bella Stoner Bella opened with a steady 2,850 opening break and held the lead for a long time, Geoff getting the balls back just in time to run in a 6.4k break near the end to take the win. 4-1 Enjoyable evening in good company, new venue gives excellent viewing and the table is playing well, a nice selection of sarnies, chips and sausages to keep us all happy.

Duke of Wellington 4 - Montreal 1
N Simmons 2700 v Moppy 6390 First break killed it. G Frizzell 4760 v Steve 1980 Mops fault for playing Steve against the break. M Senior 6420 v DJ 2180 DJ is changing jobs to become a lumberjack. T Scotney 3090 v Trevor 1620 Winning game for Tim. D Hornsburg (hope I spelt that right) w/o. ( 900 v DJ 1520 and more pegs)
All had a "shaky" game on the wobbly table. A good win for the Wellie. Nice Pizza.

Just to add to nice tables the recovered Ye Old Black Horse very nice, be some big scores this season. Felt for Nigel who was let down late on, but as ever the gentleman and sportsman keeping me up to date with the fifth player situation, thanks for a good night and a feast at the end that I and Ian just failed to finish off despite a gallant effort.
