Cock n Balls 2 - 3 Laughing Fish K Derek Taylor (2,200) 5,170 - 9,960* Dave Ingram Bob Procter 2,420* - 4,420 Ian Lelliott Ben Procter (2,200) 4,810 - 2,360* Tony Jenner Mick Kirwan (2,200) 5,210* - 830 Colleen Park Richard Wooton 1,270 - 7,260* Jim Millward A good fight back by the home side after we had taken a 2-0 lead, the decider turned into a "tactical scrap" after both players had early chances with Jim doing enough to secure the win and then adding some more right at the end. Very enjoyable evening in good company with a lovely spread of food.

Albion Hollingbury 2-3 Glynde Club Lana (1400) 3100 - 2790 Chris** - very good start for the home team with Lana winning her second match in a row after winning in Brighton last night (Two more to go this week, but no chance Wednesday )!! She was half asleep for the first 10 minutes but thinking the captain might be 'annoyed' with her performance got the break back and made a very nice break to get in front and stayed there Great to see It meant Chris's evening went from bad to worse as somehow he had been 'forgotten' on the way to the Hollingbury and nice Mr Grumpy had to go back and get him **Nigel 17,020 - 140 Bob - Nige hit a one-up thin on about 3k and Bob got them straight back. He had played very well on the table a few weeks ago and there was a little concern but he pegged very early and then Nige made an excellent 9k and touch before adding a few more for good measure to secure a 2-0 home lead Michelle (1400) 4990 - 9140 Mike** - Mike left both balls short on his first break Michelle got them back but she didn't look particularly comfortable but built a small lead, Mike made sure on his next visit with a fine 8k break **Jack (1400) 2500 - 9620 Colin - Felt for Jack as he really battled hard early moving some difficult balls without much fortune. It was still pretty close after 10 minutes as although Colin had got the break back he left the one-up short. He made no mistake in the second half of the frame giving Jack little chance and squaring the match at 2-2 Matt 5670 - 10,060 Phil** - One break each as Phil made an excellent break to start with, the only time he really ever looked like coming off was when he missed the first break shot on the left hand 50 but after that hardly a missed split from Phil which left me no chance, I played the rest of the time out. High quality match all the way through with a fine comeback from the visitors. Well done to them, plenty of banter and bar billiards chat followed. Mr Grumpy had become Mr Happy by the end

Albion 2 - 3 Glynde Club Lana Stoner (J1400) 3100 v 2790 Chris Turner** Nigel Senior** 17020 v 140 Bob Osbourne Michelle Baden (J1400) 4990 v 9140 Mike Daw** Jack Baden** (J1400) 2500 v 9620 Colin Southouse Matthew Knight 5670 v 10060 Phil Osborne** (J) = Joker played
Well done to Lana who torpedoed the hopes of the geusts early on making it a lot more tricky (favorite word) for the visitors, nigel came off earlier than expected giving bob his only chance to make amends but a tricky shot behind the left 30 forced an error felling the right hand peg, Mike tried to be generous to the sudbury mauler leaving the opening break short on both balls but luckily for us chelle was unable to make a reasonable counter leaving Mike to clear up and make a winning break, Jack had a few chances early on with Colin taking a while to get the break back but made sure once he did leaving a decider for ozzie and silent to battle out, a welcome opening break of 10k from our Hastings hero left Matt with no chance.
Thanks to our No 1 for waiting patiently for a lift while the No4 was in deep discussion with our No 3 regarding the weekends events! and was half way to Brighton before realising that someone was missing, compounded by leaving my mobile at work,,, again
