Kevin Tunstall becomes only the 4th player in Sussex History to make a 25k plus break in a match and we believe that his break is also probably a record for the Highest Away Break ever made in Brighton League.... perhaps ironically that record was previously held by his opponent tonight Steve Mariner. With a total combined score of 97,900 points scored between the two teams, we believe that this also breaks the Sussex 5-a-side Aggregate team score for a match, the previous known record of 97,830 was in the Stadium C v Dyke Tavern B match on 3rd January 2001, although the Stadium C still hold the individual team record of 92,560 that was made in that match. Congratulations also to Glenn Chubb who made his highest personal break tonight, his first 20K break in a League game, Glenn's previous 20k break was made in the Sussex Mixed Pairs in 2006. Excellent evening in good company, many thanks to Gina for treating us all to chicken nuggets, onion rings and lots of chips from the next door chip shop to celebrate her completing the purchase of the pub.

YO Black Horse 4-1 Blue Anchor A Nigel 1490 - 0 Terry** - after 18 minutes the score was 0-0 So much happened I can't remember it all....Terry lost his first break by missing a ball off the cushion. Nige had no luck on a number of occasions trying to get the break back. Terry did but had problems with getting both balls in off the break and then leaving the split short. He had 2k going with about 2 mins left when he left another short and knocked the black peg over It still left Nigel a difficult ball to clear which he did and got his score for the win. Weird **Ian 10,320 - 5250 Mal - Ian went off with a solid 7k, Mal managed to get the balls back and was in hot pursuit on 5.2k when he hit the one-up too thin. Shame because he was going well....Ian balls back and played rest of the time for 2-0 Marcus 5680 - 5620 TJ** - the Jenneral no cue second break knocked ball off the spot Marcus got 2.5k, not many for TJ, Marcus break back 2.6k. Tony worked hard for a nice 5k before missing split thick....but just in front Marcus enough time with last couple of balls to win 3-0 **Chris 5480 - 6020 Silent - Chris broke off with 5k, I came back with 4 before to and fro at top, I was lucky enough to get break back first and played rest of time out to get us on the board 3-1 Gareth 6120 - 2490 Rick** - Rick made 2.5k but missed ball near 30 pocket, Gareth break but missed left hand 50 and came off. He was first to get them back and made steady 5 before Rick played out 4-1 Good night in busy pub, couple of very close legs meaning result could have been different but the YO took chances offered

As I did on Sunday, I would also like to add my congratulations regarding tonight’s performance. A brilliant break made with sublime skill and talent in a little under 18 minutes……… KT was pretty good as well…….
The Voice In Glenn’s Head: Oh you’re so funny Glenn!
Glenn: What?
Voice In Glenn’s Head: I was being sarcastic, you’re not funny at all, just shut up...
On a serious note, fantastic break Kevin, a true privilege to score and as Dave said, only the 4th player to accomplish this feat in Sussex, the 9th 25k break overall. So well done Sir. I believe it’s a green shirt that you get for this as opposed to the red (I thought it was blue, but I’m told that’s reserved for 20k breaks off the spot)
Also well done to everyone for the overall aggregate score, a proper record unlike Sundays debacle of which I played little to no part in!
One last note of thanks must go out to a true legend of the game….. I’m of course talking about Peter Hickman, being the man that brought this table into the league. Any chance you could dot a few more around some pubs in Brighton Pete?
See you all in Surrey.

The Albion Fishersgate need just a single point to win the Premier Division. In both of the other divisions it is still all to play for with 5 league weeks left
