Hastings 4 Brighton B 3 A good evening with the Brighton Team and the result could have gone either way. Scorecard will follow shortly from Gandalf. Just to say a big well done to Hastings on winning division 2. A big thank you to all the players who featured in most games and our reserves who stepped in and did a great job for us. We look forward to next season. Regards PO

Alan won his game at his first visit. Matt was almost awesome but had some woeful moments. Phil had 2x4k breaks to keep Sandra under the cosh and hopefully earns a place in the masters this year. Bob had several 2k breaks a kept moving ahead of Michelle. Jean fluffed an early shot but I was unable to get the balls back and was generous in giving her some nice opportunities which were greatfully received. mike and Marcus struggled together with loads of chances for both but Mike kept ahead with Marcus having no luck. Plenty of fun had tonight with the oppos being well up for it and focussed trying to get some well earned revenge on us.

Yes it was an excellent night in Hastings and a good competitive match on a table that became progressively more difficult. There was plenty of Silent banter. Congratulations to Hastings on winning the division

Worthing A 5 Redhill B 2
Well done to my team this season. Firstly the One Day title and now the Home and Away crown. An exceptional campaign from Fitz who won 9 out of 10, including the last baller against Redhill A away The team itself winning 9 out of 10 matches also (we should probably have won Away at Brighton as well)
I'm glad I haven't got to play any more Redhill players in the near future lol Genette Nicholls being the latest person to put a winning score past me. An excellent opener of 9k giving me no chance to catch her
Martin Smith 13430 v 0 Baz Symonds - Martin opened with 8800 to start the ball rolling Gerry Fitzjohn 10400 v 950 Alex Hornby - Alex off with under 1k, Fitz making enough on his first visit Paul Barnett 10960 v 2120 Martin Greenway - Martin off early, Barney making 9k for the leg Stu Mepham 0 v 560 Becca Greenway - Friendly leg this one with Chocie just doing enough until the last ball. Oops Martin Cole 5970 v 5370 Mark Fraser - Both players with chances, Nipper holding on for the result KT 3210 v 11770 Genette Nicholls - Great score from Genette, A 9k opening break setting up the point Jim Greensted 15460 v 110 Richard Plaw - Foxy kicked off with 12k to give Richard no chance

Many thanks to everyone over the past few seasons, it's been great & good luck to Stu taking over the roll. As Horsham Chairman, I'd like to express my gratitude on behalf of the League for your excellent period of tenure as Interleague Captain, Adam. You managed to inject a fresh enthusiasm and competitiveness into a flagging team, and I for one enjoyed being part of the renaissance. Always good to go out with a win and the side being saved from relegation, and I'm confident that Stu will prove to be a safe pair of hands, maintaining similar values. tommo

Will they do 2 down 1 up between div 2 and 3 who knows Depends on what teams enter next year. i will try and get confirmation before the agm of definite teams. Once we know options can be discussed. As announced before and at the one day competitions the divisions will have to be reorganised and there is no set promotion/relegation this year. Looks like there will be a good attendance at the AGM this year Also applicable to this post Always good to go out with a win and the side being saved from relegation tommo

Can you please remind us all of the AGM date as Horsham & I'm sure others have willing attendees, views & ideas to be heard?

The dates not set yet but will talk to others and try and get a date. It will be sometime in August.

I do know that Brighton C will not be putting in a team if no promotion as ranking system is different and this should not be the case if there is nothing to play for

See you at the Agm then with your suggestions. Looks like you would rather see uneven divisions again and div 3 possibly only have 3 teams again.
It's difficult because I try and get the teams entered before the AGM so we can sort the divisions. If you have teams threatening to pull out if this or that happens it makes it really difficult.
Let's just see what teams enter and leave it to the AGM to discuss the options and make a decision.
I'm sure at the Brighton AGM it will be sorted if a C team is entered?

Unfortunately whats right is not always seen as fair. That's life! I'm sure a decision will be made that is right for the County Once teams are known and discussions have taken place at the AGM a decision will be reached. People will then have to accept that decision.
I'm now going to say no more!! Too many other things going on at this time.
Will sort out date and venue of AGM in June after all the work for this season has finished.

Can I suggest that a different thread is started to discuss possible formats for the Inter League competitions next season? Both the Home & Away and One Day competitions were affected this season due to withdrawals and, at this stage, we have no way of knowing how many teams make take part next season so it would seem wrong for anyone to jump to conclusions or get upset until this can be clarified. If Billingshurst and West Sussex were to return to the Home & Away competition next year then that would clearly mean a totally different scenario to the line ups for all 3 divisions than if they do not. I am sure that the SCBBA committee will listen to any suggestions that are made at the AGM and will then try to implement a structure that will be best for the majority of the teams in the competition.

Division 1Tunbridge Wells v Mid-Sussex A Please could the captains of these teams send the result of this match to the Inter League Secretary ASAP as it has not been received yet. It would be helpful if the scores could also be posted on this thread as we need to determine the final qualification for the Sussex Masters this year and finalise all Sussex trophy winners for the season. Many thanks, in anticipation.
