Can we have another EGM if I can't be bothered to turn up at the first EGM and I don't agree with the decision to overturn the decision made at the AGM?? No need to be like that people who weren't there that disagree might have good reason to not be there as I said I was at a festival in Derby and I told Pete I was at a festival and as mossy said he was in Ibiza nothing wrong with an egm to allow more people who where away a right to vote within the league format

if a change was voted for, thats fair enough. i personally would have gone for a 3 a side format.this would have given you more teams and divisions.with the new format i think the lower league teams will have less playing time as they get to have two games players will try and hit a score so they have less playing time for the second game.

I'm not in favour of the new format either, and I voted against it at the AGM. However, the proposal was on the forum for quite a while before the meeting, so most people would have been aware of the proposal. If they had strong views either way they should have turned up at the meeting to vote. If people don't turn up to vote, they shouldn't moan about it afterwards. Quite correct Sandra.

Have to agree if people cant be bothered to attend AGM then this has to stand . It was a fair vote on the night with a full discussion that took place. If it doesn't work then next years AGM is the time for a proposal to change it. Don't be afraid of changes.

How would that have worked with venues that already have two teams ?

get new tables.in new pubs and you might get new players. Sadly no evidence to support this claim. Of the 39 pubs we know of in Oxfordshire which have bar billiards, only 7 are being used for league play. Contrast this with clubs - 10 out of the 16 known are league venues. Oxon are not alone in this and it's a sign of the times. Perhaps we are all at fault in not getting the message out there.

Agm was held, decision was made. You can't have an egm that allows a counter proposal, that's bullocks. If that happens why bother with an agm.
I agree with members voting on how the new system works but not to vote against it.
Sort it out my chairman and Secretary.

There has been much discussion re the one proposal on this forum that we have been told was passed, but not seen anyone mention the outcome of the rest of the proposals? Were any of these passed?

Graham I will try and answer for you Graham. All proposals relating to 4-player rules were chucked out after the passing of the 4Singles, 2Pairs format. Moving to comps as played-by's was voted against With regards to competitions at venues etc. The Competition Secretary will email the sheets direct to the Pub/Club landlords (Captains too) if games are to be played at their venue. That is all i can remember!

Just to add. (I will check AGM minutes when Alan is back from hols)
Any games being played more than a month in advance must obtain the committees full approval in advance, failure to do so will result in the score not standing and the game replayed.voted against.
If a player holds the highest away break in a competition and fails to turn up to play in later rounds he forfeits the highest break.Carried 10/8
