Four player rule amendment.
Any team using the 4 player rule must forfeit a break. currently the rule says its the 4th or 5th game that is adjusted accordingly.
This works fine for most scenario's with one exception when playing teams in the bottom section.
As it stands
Prem against bottom no breaks anyway - so the four player rule doesn't really apply here Section 1 against bottom is where the issue is, if the section one team is away its fine but there is a problem when they are at home. Currently they get the first break only. This means they are not penalised for playing the four player rule at home.
I propose they SHOULD lose the first break as well if the 4 player rule is used.

I think this is the first sensible post i have ever seen you put on here! I will second this as an amendment to the 4-player rule (Obviously this game will need to then be moved to be played last)

There have been a lot of talk this season from various players with regards to league games v competitions. Some saying there are too many comp dates and not enough league games and some complaining about comp games being cancelled etc.
So, maybe ALL competitions (Not Team cup games) should be on played by dates so we can have a lot more league games ?

I think the 3's should stay on a Thursday but other than that I agree. if you get knocked out or don't enter there are too many gaps.

Can't see this working not many people will play comps on play by dates especially from the first round probably find a savage drop in numbers

how will you be doing most wins this season,or will you be dropping it.As teams may have to rotate there teams so every one gets to play through the season.will there be a pairs trophy as well. just a thought.

but most teams have 5 players so will have to rotate to give everyone a chance to play.it would be unfair to lose out on most wins as you have to rotate to accommodate this change. will we be going back to equal breaks against the lower division teams as they will be given the break twice in the game as rules stand.

Breaks etc are being worked out as we speak and an EGM will be called to actually adopt the playing rules under this new format. With all the negativity i have heard since this was passed at the AGM i wouldn't be surprised if a proposal to go back to 5-a-side will be put forward at the EGM to be voted on.

I'm not in favour of the new format either, and I voted against it at the AGM. However, the proposal was on the forum for quite a while before the meeting, so most people would have been aware of the proposal. If they had strong views either way they should have turned up at the meeting to vote. If people don't turn up to vote, they shouldn't moan about it afterwards.

Can we have another EGM if I can't be bothered to turn up at the first EGM and I don't agree with the decision to overturn the decision made at the AGM??
