Smugglers B 1 v 4 Duke of Wellington Stewart Chant* 1160 v 8280 Matt KnightColin Southouse 1050 v 7900 Nigel Senior*Phil Osborne 1990 v 3470 Mal Spier*Bob Osborne* 3620 v 4550 Dave IngramRoss Appleby 4560 v 3350 Chris Tupper* The home skippers opening gambit got shot to bits after Stew left both balls short, leaving the Masterful Matt Knight to just creep ahead with an doubly awesome break of 7450 taking the first game by storm. Someone mentioned that Matt had top scored tonight but no one was listening The homies spent the rest of the evening finding ways to gift chances to the oppos. Nige working on a 4.5k opening break lipped the 100 and pegged but Colin failed to make a telling break leaving Nige to take the game with his 2 nd break, Colin then took the game to its logical conclusion with the help of an EXTREME lack of concentration coupled with deafness failing to notice a 1 up call. Mal was giving loads of chances to Phil but he was unable to get the break back with Mal staying 1k ahead throughout Bob and Dave tried to help each other win but Bob was better at it. Chris opened with 2.8k but the b's superhero...ine snatched a small advantage with 2x2k breaks again saving the b's blushes and the white wash The result a fair one considering the B's Big guns all failed to hit the target....still the only way is Essex up from here, next weeks opponents could feel a cold wind coming up the rear.... I hope PS Still great to be playing high quality opponents all the time

White Hart | 17/09 | | Albion B |

Martin Cole | 6790 | 1620 | Rick Cunningham * | Gerry Fitzjohn * | 10390 | 2120 | Terry Molloy | Jim Greensted | 4230 | 4710 | Steve Aylmore * | Curt Driver * | 13900 | 2320 | Pete Hickman | Stuart Mepham | 4900 | 20 | Tony Jenner * | 4 | 40210 | 10790 | 1 |
Rick off at 1.6k. Martin replied with 2k, Rick pegged 2k and then 4k before Martin made sure at the end. Gerry off at 2k, Terry not able to get the balls back, Gerry settled and made sure before Terry got them back at the end. Steve opened with 4k + both he and Jim struggled to get the break back, Jim did but ran out of time. Curt touched on 10400, and added another 3k and touch, Pete finished off. Tj going well over 5k when the white came out of the left hand 50 on break ( forgot the left ) tried 50/100 dink looked good but 100 spun and took peg giving break back, Stuart did not settle but kept going to 4.k and neither got the break back. Good night with the Hart, plenty of banter.

Swan Nomads 3 - 2 Swan 'A'
Neil Higgins 2370 7730 Roger Taylor*
Roger always gives you a chance. This time he gave me 2, neither of which I was able to take. I didn't get a third.
Adam Squires* 9460 0 John Hayward
Adam a very solid 3460 start. John break back straight away and rolled back the years with a break approaching 3k before unfortunately pegging it. Adam ran the table out with a further 6k.
Tony Burgess 960 9190 Matt Squire*
Matt with 2-3 reasonable breaks and Tone never settled.
Nick Brown* 11440 570 Brian Richards
Nick with 2 sizeable breaks and Brian unable to get the hang of the table, even when he got the break back.
Gary Ridley 4400 0 Doug Mahy*
Table seemed to get harder even though the best score of the night was only in the previous game. Gary eventually put together a reasonable break and Doug took the black with the last ball. Not that he had much to lose.
