Limeburners 3, The Mill 2
Max Davies 1900, 2nd reserve tommo 2380 Billy 'knows his onions' Hammond 3830, Johnny 1550 Brian Goodchild 3220, Mick 3470 Chippy 5080, Barry 2730 Ricky 4570, Alan 4180
Entertaining match, the 'Burners table easy at the front but difficult at the back. This threw up some close games: Mark was chasing me down in the first; Billy played really well against in-form Johnny. Then Brian staged a magnificent comeback to draw level with Mick only to leave Mick to pot the last ball to win. Barry struggled valiantly but Chip's table knowledge counted. The best was saved till last, there seemed to be no way back for Ricky but he polished it off with a superb 3.5k pressure break.
Some tasty sarnies, chunky chips and (for the bravest amongst us) Billy's potent pickled onions sent us on our way. An enjoyable evening.

Springbok Club 2 Roffey SSC 3
B Hicks 3100 Pete The Fish 4140 A really good game, both Bill and Pete were on form and pushed each other to the end.
R Burgess 3100 Twiggy 2800 Yet anther decent game, Twiggy took the early lead and loaded the table. Rob worked extremely hard to get the break back and ease ahead as the bar dropped.
T Goacher 850 Moose 5320 One way traffic this one with the Moose hot on his hoof. I had no response other than to smile and wave.
M Edwards 2230 Panda 3950 Obviously the new nickname has spurred Panda on and he flew out of the blocks. Mike worked hard but was given too much to do. All hail Panda, the king (Dementia) is dead.
G Marshall 6490 Glyn 1390 Glyn let Gaz in early and that was about it, the young un was as ever reliable and put plenty of space between him and his opponent, who was left with a mountain to climb.
Great night with some decent games played. Finished off with meatballs and pasta.
