The pub was very busy and also had a Christmas Karaoke on tonight, a selection of the worst singers you will ever hear at full volume so my thanks goes to our opponents who made the best of things.... also to Nigel for kindly buying the pizzas as there was no food for us again. This was probably our last home game ever at the Duke, after weeks of hearing rumours Nigel was officially asked to remove his table over the Christmas period so we will be looking for a new home for the rest of this season....

Always sad to hear of the demise of bar billiards at a venue. In anticipation of thinking caps being donned for a replacement venue to take Nigel's table, this one might be worth a look: thehangletonmanor.co.uk/A former Brighton League venue, IanG and I had occasion to visit there a couple of months ago and were impressed by the decor and the food. Further information available if you wish to follow it up !

Further information available if you wish to follow it up ! The table is going but the venue is not. They have decided to change the table and have therefore asked Nigels to be removed. The Brighton League team (as far as I am aware) are still playing there. We no longer wish to play there as the treatment has been pretty poor and are on the lookout for a new venue although there is one in mind. I think the Hangleton Manor is outside the boundary for Worthing venues so thanks but unfortunately no thanks for the suggestion

Albion B | 10/12 | | Southdown | |
---|
| | | | | Terry Molloy * | 8750 | 310 | Michelle Baden | | Steve Aylmore | 2290 | 8970 | Chris Oakley * | | Tony Jenner | 2370 | 5870 | Joe Oakley * | | Pete Hickman * | 7260 | 1020 | Phil Oakley | | Rick Cunningham | 7190 | 10210 | Bob Hall * | | 2 | 27860 | 26380 | 3 | 54240 |
Well done to the Southdown, Terry opened with over 7k and in the rest of games everyone had chances against the break, as all given early opportunities and had the break back but no-one took advantage.

Tarring Club 2 - 3 Swan Nomads
Mike Formoy* 1210 6770 Nick Brown Mike never really settled and a 5k break from Nick was enough
Chris Cox 11580 1930 Gary Ridley* Only a 1k opener from Gary. Chris played really well, a 7k+ and a 3k+ was impressive
James Osborne* 11070 0 Adam Squires Another excellent performance. James messed up his opening break but Adam unable to capitalise. As in the previous game, a 7k+ and a 3k+ giving another high score
Amy/Alex Heasman 610 3120 Tony Burgess* Sorry, forgot Amy/Alex's name! A couple of black pegs from her and some steady scoring from Tony
Tony Collins* 1120 5620 Neil Higgins Took me a while to get the break back but a 4k was enough
Tarring Club missing a couple of players tonight which could have made a big difference. Table seems to get better every time we play there, but apparently it's now going to be moved upstairs when some planned refurbishment takes place.
So many sandwiches that even our 2-legged dustbin aka Mr Brown was unable to finish them!

The Albion table was playing well last night a tad tricky with the left hand roll needed getting used to which it seemed to take most of us at least 1 attempt n then the next visit put the game beyond reach as always a fun evening and lots of banter at least i managed to get out of the pub alive
