An excellent performance today by the Sussex B team saw them win the Division 2 County Championship at Didcot
Jim Greenstead was on fire throughout the day winning all 5 matches with an average of 10,536 (I think Foxy must have topped the overall averages) - well done Jim Bob Hall was not far behind winning all 5 matches with an average of 8324 - well done Bob (as always the chief scorer of the day)
Brother Kev also a top performance winning all 5 matches (last ball finish to ensure a 100% record) with an average of 6072, including one match where he chased down an opening 7k from his opponent - well done Kev
Martin Smith continued his good Worthing form taking 3 matches at an average of 7130 - well done Smithy (also gets Silent's top team supporter of the day)
Silent made a woeful start getting stuffed in his first match and then having an 11k break knocked past him before recovering to win 3 matches with a pretty dreadful average of 4892
Captain Colin made some high scores throughout the day but kept us waiting until the business end of the day for his 2 wins, finishing with an average of 7224
Henry Brooks performed brilliantly in his 2 wins, knocking in 10k, only having one chance in two other legs and in the process of winning a third having made a great break against Tony Woolvin only to lose it in very unlucky fashion. H finished with 2 wins and an average of 5364
We won by 5 points from Oxford B winning all of our matches and our aggregate score was a massive 45k more than the next highest team. Great support for each other on the day and from those who were keen to know how we were doing on the texts....all support much appreciated. Thanks to Colin for keeping things in order and hopefully (whoever represents the B team next time) we will compete strongly in the top division
