Delighted to get yet another league win (that's two now - can we start again please?) Table played better than the scores suggest but neither team had anything to play for apart from pride. Mike played well for the Viks, taking two off a grumbling Steve... A good night with old friends, several pints of Black Sheep and a game of baaaaa billiards - what more do you need?

Ian came back to beat Terry in the first game after breaking down early and I had to run out the last 5 minutes to beat Thomas. Terry went in with 6.5k in their second game and I tapped on at 10k. Colin ran out the last 4 minutes or so of the table to win the last game. Following the comments made after the KO cup semi that was played on the 'Lion the previous week, I went up early thinking that I would have to re set up the table, but apart from a bit of 'whippiness' at the top it played well and required no adjustment. I am also however, slightly disappointed that the 'Oak were put on the Red Lion table as a neutral venue for the KO cup Semi Final last week, a week before they were due to play there in what could transpire to be a 'league title deciding' match. Sometimes there is no alternative, but in this case they could have played the Oracle at Bletch Club or the Lamb & Flag. Having said that we have a very convivial evening as usual

Well done to the Red Lion on (nearly) winning the league.
They have been very consistent throughout the season - they even beat us! (so did everyone else BTW....).
